Hey guys,

When you’re teenager everyone has that piece of makeup that is their statement piece they wear all the time and for me that was the Icon Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick collaboration. In this collection there is a lipstick named 107 which as you can see is a gorgeous red plum shade, when these lipsticks first released back in 2013 this collection was a huge deal. At the time when Zoella had a few hundred thousand subscribers this lipstick was in one of her hauls and became a fast seller in Superdrug and a iconic Zoella lip look.

When I got this lipstick it was £7.49 and as a 19 year old I wore this all autumn and it quickly made me obsessed with matte lipsticks and it was the first time I really liked a dark autumnal colour and wanted to go a little out of my comfort zone. For 2 years this was my autumn winter holy grail look and I went through a fair amount of lipsticks literally using it until there wasn’t anything left. But then once Day I went back to Superdrug to get a new lipstick for autumn and I got the heartbreaking news that the collection was discontinued, I was gutted. And for years I never saw it again, that was until last month ......

So last month I mentioned going to the Beauty Outlet at the o2 Arena and after wondering around the shop a red packaged lipstick caught my eye from a distance and I almost ran over when I saw the Kate logo on the lipstick. It was my 107!!!!!! I honestly couldn’t believe it and had to call my mum other straight away and show her what I found and she recognised it straight away. So I picked up 2 and what made the whole thing even better was the lipsticks were reduced to £2.49 each!!!!! I literally got 2 not even for the price of 1 which still blows my mind. I honestly couldn’t believe they had it in shop considering I hadn’t seen it in years I was over the moon.

Sometimes it just shows that your old favourite products always have a way of coming back to you.

MOTD - Playing with Purple

Hi beauties,

Today’s makeup of the day revolves around the colour purple and its various shades. The last MOTD I did in the previous post (title: Vive la France) was by using Urban Decay’s UDxKristen Leanne Kaleidoscope Dream eyeshadow palette. For this look, I will be using the same palette and share with you how to achieve this look. The fun part about owning an eyeshadow palette with a good variant of colours is you can get different look without having the need to use several palettes. I will skip the face part as I used the same products in my previous post.

Eyes: I applied ‘Corona’ around the crease, ‘Dye’ was then brushed and blended around the outer corners. Spray some priming spray to your brush and slowly dab ‘Spitfire’ on the lids. I applied ‘Brixton’ on the brow bones, followed by dabbing ‘Leo’ on the inner corners. Lined my lids with KVD’s Tattoo Liner in ‘Trooper’ and Marc Jacobs’ Velvet Noir mascara in ‘Noir’ was used for the lashes.

Lips: ‘Matte Royal’ by MAC
