Jim Steinman also produced “This Corrosion” and “Dominion/Mother Russia” on Floodland by The Sisters of Mercy.

This means that in some alternate universe, Andrew Eldritch sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart”.

Please tell me you've heard of the german musical Tanz der Vampire? and the big love ballad from it Totale Finsternis? Because honestly it reminds me of you everytime I hear it.

I have heard of it, but haven’t actually watched it yet! If someone has helpful good links to all the parts of it on ye olde YouTube, I’ll watch it next week. It’s the vampire musical with music by Jim Steinman, king of bombast, yes?

Since this is my favorite musical ever, here’s a bit of helpful info: there’s a quality English sub on YouTube uploaded by the channel “German Musicals” in 12 parts (totally worth it though, it’s one of the best). Most of the other versions floating around either full or in parts don’t usually have subs, so if German isn’t your forte it can be a bit daunting. <3
