And I’m done. The first SJM book I read, and I loved it. I look forward to the next one whenever that is. I appreciate her wrapping up the current crisis, so we have answers before the next book. 

BIG SPOILERS COMING

So, I honestly didn’t think she was going to make the drop. I thought she would shut the gates and that the city would be in tatters. I felt that it would just go to show how Lowers like Lehabah and a half-fae took down an Archangel and that the people the Asteri look down upon were a force to be reckoned with. So I thought she would stay mortal and lead a resistance in the next book. Which she will probably do in a future book, she is just all kinds of powerful now. That’s cool, I guess.

I appreciate the friendships that were shown and how powerful its love and sacrifice is that all-powerful beings think nothing of it.

I also think Hunt’s dad is either the Under King because Jesica knows his father best or that his daddy is the Star Eater, the prince of the seventh pit.

And in huge conspiracy feels because of drama and a possible need for his loyalty to Bryce needing to be tested, I think either his mom or Shahar could also be alive and be used as pawns.

I enjoyed it, I could read again, down the road. I am eager for the next one.

I’ve got to stop to get up and stretch for a few minutes. Definitely into it and I’m liking my first experience of SJM’s writing.

I wonder if it will be some big revelation once it is revealed who Bryce’s father is. I assume the book might carry all the way to the summit and have a bunch of big reveals there, but maybe not.

I wonder why Fury won’t talk to Bryce. I just can’t understand it unless she is involved with these deaths and I don’t see that being the case.

In the little flashback about the first time Danika said “I love you,” there seems to be a hint of Bryce having more power than everyone thinks. Like it’s more than just the primal rage that gets mentioned.

My biggest fear for this is that because it is a series, all of the answers won’t be revealed. I’m hoping the deaths are solved and I imagine a war gets sparked over it and that is maybe what would be covered in other books.
