The Tumblr post was about how there are some medical databases with free files to 3d print bones, and that this has reduced Tumblr incidents of bone stealing

Naturally people in the comments were caught off, except those of us who were there

Apparently the guy who works in Jonsbones who actually handles the bones has a BA in anthropology. They also happen to be the only member of the team who stays anonymous. I bet it's because they'd be fucking exiled from their discipline if any of their colleagues found out they were doing this shit. The company doesn't have anyone who's actually qualified to be handling bones because anyone qualified wouldn't do that shit.

so snatcher would have to have. Outer bone plates. Which is kinda sick to imagine honestly

heads up for the people who dont use Tiktok- They now have their own boneghazi, but instead of a bone stealing witch they have a man from brooklyn who is selling the bones including skulls and human spines, which he has a wall of, allegedly they are ethically sourced, not sure if thats true or if that makes it any more ok

I had to double check to make sure I wasn’t on Tumblr for a moment when I came across this on Facebook. I was like “oh are we back at it again with bone jewelry-” and then realized that no, a older family member of mine had commented on the post

Why was bone-stealing even a discourse? That was a thing even BEFORE Tumblr, how do you people think Adam and Eve met?
