Anchorage Museum: Mel and I were granted an extra day of our trip. We stayed downtown Anchorage and woke up to explore the city. I fell absolutely in love with this dinosaur exhibit. Something about exploring the fossil coast in Alaska with artist Ray Troll and archeologist Kirk Johnson (@smithsonian). The two collaborated to map Alaska’s fossils. I regret not taking more pictures. Ray was there this day working with kids in the art lab and I also regret not letting him know how much this exhibit floored me. I get really excited when art and science come together to tell informed stories about our world. Mel and I are both nutty for bones and specimens and dinosaurs and rocks and this was such a perfect day for us.
