Hi, I have a question about bone dyeing.

If you draw on eggs with wax of some kind before you dye them it seals that part of the shell and the design is left the original egg colour.
Do you think a similar thing could be done on bones? Or are they too porous?
I still have yet to try that with eggs! really want to though.
I have seen folks use the same method for bones! Again i haven't tried myself but it does seem to work.
Your last comment is something i am wondering as well.
My assumption is that the state of the bone can influence how well the designs come out, more porous maybe making the design lines less crisp?
I would love if any folks who have tried this could chime in and let us know!
