In an au with both plots together, Cheong Myeong knowing Xie Lian during his prince days and his sect vying to have that kid as a disciple but Xie Lian's parents wanting to keep him close to him (being crowned prince and all that Jazz)

During the year he went traveling he hangs out with the Mount Hua Sect and learns the sword form despite being an outside cause the Sect Leader is like hold up I sense something and took a gamble and then Xie Lian ascends for defeating the bridge ghost and he was like FUCK YEAH

So they had a friendship with him and Cheong Myeong has a statue built in the temple on Mount Hua for him

Which comes in handy when the demon war happens because Xie Lian during the rebellion ended up helping the disciples by making a mini animal clone which is a ferret and it protected what was left of the disciples

Both wars happened at the same time, and when Xie Lian was outcastaed they tried go find him but Jun Wu was being his bitch self and prevented it and so they couldnt get Xie Lians help during the war against the Demon cult

Xie Lian learns about the fall of Mount Hua and Cheong Myeongs death and keeps the plum blossom sword alive

800 years later Cheong Myeong is reborn and finds out he's somehow in charge of a baby Quan Yizhen, his sect is gone, and Xie Lian was thrown out of heaven TWICE

He's not having a great start to his second life
