Mu Qing who had been Xie Lians personal doctor now that he knows the root cause finally, had the idea to send Xie Lian to Shi Qingxuan and Quan Yizhens place because they were also expecting. Not only that but if the problem was the ghost energy having someone with a deep reserve of energy like Quan Yizhen filter out the ghost energy with his own heavenly one would make the process quicker.
So Xie Lian gets sent to his friends place who welcome him, both to help and sympathizing as Quan Yizhen had a difficult first pregnancy with his oldest daughter.
the friend ends up giving Hua Cheng two vambraces that would restrain his energy so that when Xie Lian is stable he can go to see him.
It takes about a month for Xie Lian to recover, during the time before being sent he had a hard time eating, losing weight rapidly due to be unable to retain spiritual energy and actual sustenance. Quan Yizhen managed to shorten the timeline by alot so Hua Cheng was able to come and dot on his husband again much to his relief.
Xie Lian is allows Hua Cheng to spoil and fret to his heart contents too shaken by the near death and the delirium from before to object.
Xie Lian had a difficult birth, painful despite pain killers but he managed to deliver safely.
