Yo I was watching The Rules of Power and I noticed something - Artha has never been pulled in by the bonemarks, whether it be in that episode or in The Lost Track of Doom when all three of them were calling out to them. Is it because his main color is gold so he has a resistance built up, kind of as an advantage?
First off: excellent catch, for some reason I never bothered to notice that (though it was obvious enough that I know exactly what you’re talking about). Secondly, while your idea is a good theory, I think I may know why.
What’s common with all of the bonemarks(the real ones at least, not the chromatic one)? Furox and Samurox both possessed humans before they entered the dragons, merely using the human to get to the dragon and keeping them as long as they’re useful—such as when Samurox never bothered to reclaim Parmon, or when Furox threw off Moordryd after he broke away on his own. As for Vysox, she was smart and powerful enough not to bother with Moordryd, using her draconium to fling herself to Decepshun and merge with her.
I would imagine that Artha has never felt the pull of a bonemark because he is already tied to a bonemark—Beau’s. The flash of light that shone when Beau’s bonemark emerged is similar to the light of when a bonemark shines after integrating with a dragon; only far more naturally. In that same instance, I would imagine that the connection between dragon and rider was made, thus protecting Artha from other bonemarks. I think Artha would only be able to be possessed by another bonemark if said mark had possessed Beau first. Being chosen by Beau linked them to one another in the dragon-human bond, so they cannot be seduced like their non-marked kin.
