Bonique
January 17, 2011.
I was concentrating on making a lesson plan for our upcoming RE integration. I felt my phone vibrate and saw a message coming from my church mate.
Rev : Dan?
Dan :Oh?
R :Wala na si Bonik. :(
D: Oh? Sino nagsabi? Sure na yan?
R: Mga teachers..
Another text followed. It was from Paul, a good friend.
Dan.. Sad to say wala na si Bonik. huhu :(

for the past 16 years, it's a rare opportunity to meet someone really close to become PERFECT. she was from a well family, a very smart person, a good friend, a loud and outspoken (but sensible) kid, and a talented one as well. Plus points for the looks!
We've been together for only 6 years, yet our friendship is still there. She's occasionally go to our house, I see her in their flower shop on weekends and talk about stuff in general. It's just so unexpected that she'll end this way.
When me, mom and dad visited her in San Pedro Hospital, she was bedridden. Though she can still talk, other parts of her body were paralyzed. I never saw her complain about the pain she feels. She showed me that she is strong, and she can go through this test. She did survive, but the worst was about to come. I'm a witness of her pain, and she'd insist that she's doing well even though she's not.
I won't tell more about her pain, all I know is that she fought the good fight of faith. She did her best, and God knows that. And since God saw that, He thought of rewarding Bonik with rest. an ETERNAL rest. She'll feel no more pain in Heaven, as she sings praises to the Lord all day long, and enjoying her life up There. Back then, she's the one waiting for a reunion, NOW, she's the one organizing for a grand reunion in Heaven.
i love you Nik. salamat sa 10 years of friendship, laughs, tears, lulz, food, and LOVE.
