how do u think would a bk date go?
Well if you read my fanfiction, you’ll sort of see that BK don’t really do dates, Kai thinks they’re “above” that and Bonnie is too ashamed of him and herself to go anywhere publicly with him; the closest thing to a date that they go on is he shows up to The Grill when she’s having a lunch with Damon and Caroline and they force everyone out so they can have sex on every surface of the restaurant.
But for the purpose of this ask, I think a BK date could go many ways depending on which Kai you have. If it’s Playful, Mischievous Kai I think a date could go very much like the KC date that I described but I think it would be darker, I think Kai would actually kill the waiter so he wouldn’t have to pay for the bill or recount stories of his bloody massacres and then suddenly switch gears to how pretty Bonnie looks.
If it’s angsty, emotion-ridden Kai, which is the Kai I tend to play around with more, I could see him just agonizing outside on Bonnie’s porch, pacing in circles with a bouquet in his hand, fighting the urge to relieve tension by killing someone because he’s trying to be on his best behaviour and just coming apart at the seams trying to stay in check for Bonnie.
The problem with this is that I don’t see how Bonnie would ever venture to go on a date with Kai, like I just can’t see her getting to a place where she would do that, which is why I always write them as having rendezvous, their relationship happens in private and it’s based in sex but the sex is always expressive or communicative and it’s addictive and it’s this link that pulls them both in, that’s just how I see a BK relationship. What maybe I could see is when Bonnie goes to meet him wherever they are, Kai sets up the place so it’s date-like and Bonnie is just like wtf is this and Kai says that he wanted to do something different and Bonnie being like I didn’t sign up for this, we are not dating, this isn’t what I want from you and Kai being like he was just trying to be nice and Bonnie going, why, you’re not nice, this isn’t what you do, this isn’t what I want and Kai throws a champagne bottle or something against the wall and Bonnie being like, good to know that no matter what your true colours will always come out, putting a few sheets on a table and flowers in vases won’t mask who you really are and Kai being like, listen I don’t even know why I did this, do you think I’m this kind of person, but I did it for you because I thought you’d like it and I hate it etc.etc.
