Tried a bit of angst this time.
Bonnie gasped suddenly, and dropped the glass of bourbon in her hand so that it crashed onto the floor, splintering everywhere on the Salvatores’ carpet. Caroline rushed up to her.
“You’re bleeding!”
“It’s fine.” She barely felt it.
“No, it is not fine,” said Caroline, running to get a towel. “What’s going on? Are you OK?”
“Sure.”
Actually, she was far from it. Because she felt it. The ache that had been gone for so long. An undeniable pulse deep in her belly. Desire, primal and soon-to-be barely uncontainable in nature reawakened with in her and along with it a barely controllable rage. She couldn’t stand still. Adrenaline flooded through her veins. And that could only mean one thing.
“I’ve got to go.” Her voice was a gasp.
“Bonnie, tell me what’s happening,” said Caroline pressing the towel over her wound. “You’re seriously scaring me.”
She shook her head. “There’s nothing to tell. I just have to go.”
“What, now? We're kind of in the middle of something!" Caroline gestured to a catatonic Damon sitting in the living room. “It's your turn to talk to him! He’s going to respond to you more than me.”
Bonnie glanced at Damon, a twinge of guilt in her chest before a rush of anticipation overtook it, causing her stomach to drop, making it difficult to breathe again.
“Sorry.”
She left the living room but Caroline followed her. “Wait, you’re just going to leave? Seriously?”
Bonnie turned around, her mouth open, moving silently – she couldn’t bring herself to speak. Her entire body was starting to tremble.
“Something came up. Something…” She didn’t want to say ‘important’, she couldn’t admit that to herself. Instead, she shrugged and opened the door. Caroline reached for her arm.
“Damon is your best friend. You’re his.”
“Yeah,” said Bonnie, nodding. “Yeah, and as his best friend, I found it in myself to understand when something came up and he put that before me. It’s his turn.”
“Bonnie, I don’t care about Damon,” said Caroline. “I mean, it’s not that I don’t, I…” she sighed. “I’m asking because I’m worried about you. This isn’t like you. Something is clearly going on.”
“So, then you know I wouldn’t leave if I didn’t have to, Caroline. I’ll call you later.”
As soon as Bonnie left the Salvatore Mansion, she told herself she wouldn’t drive over to her house, she would walk, she would take as long as she could to see him. With each step she took, she told herself not to be so willing to rush back to him, to rush back to the chaos, the anger, the hunger. But she couldn’t help it. It was all already in her. The feeling within her grew with each block, with each passing second, compelling her to find the source of all the emotions within her as quickly as possible, urging her forward, urging her toward him. And she was suddenly sprinting with a determined purpose.
I fucking hate him.
It took her shorter than she thought to reach her house. In the back of her mind, she’d told herself to slow down once she reached her block, to at least appear casual, but her body wouldn’t listen. It never did when it came to him.
He was on her porch. Sitting. Waiting. Her lips parted.
She didn’t know what she’d feel seeing him again, she knew as she ran that whatever it would be, it would be powerful and that she wouldn’t be able to fight it, that trying to would be useless even though she would try anyway. Lust was common with him, anger and hatred, vicious joy, excitement, thrill, and she’d felt a whirlwind of that raging inside of her but something else dominated, something both recognizable and unfamiliar and it rendered her speechless.
“You came running,” he said finally, his voice hoarse. “How very Gone with the Wind of you. Or maybe West Side Story, you know, without the shooting. Does it count if I wasn’t running too? We can try it again for the dramatic effect of it all if you wa--”
“Stop it,” said Bonnie.
She walked up the steps, taking her keys out.
“I get talkative when I’m nervous, you know that,” said Kai. He got up when she reached the door, standing behind her as she unlocked it, flexing his hand to rid himself of the itch to hold her as he took her in, his eyes reddening as her scent clouded his senses.
He couldn’t take it.
She opened the door, walking inside before him. The instant he stepped into the foyer, he turned her around and pressed her against the wall, his hands on her hips, their noses touching, their lips a breath away from each other. She arched her back and desire roared inside of him, urging him to bury himself in her, but he resisted. Swiftly, he moved away from her, collapsing against the opposite wall, winded.
Bonnie exhaled heavily, heart pounding, leaning her head back. Her eyes starting to moisten.
Don’t you dare, she scolded herself.
“That didn’t seem nervous,” she panted.
“I’m a fucking wreck,” he said. “You’re not saying anything and that’s not like you.”
“Don’t dictate how I act.”
“Now, that sounds like you.”
“Self-restraint doesn’t seem like you either.”
For a brief moment, Bonnie wondered if something changed between them and panic flooded through her. Panic that turned to jealousy at the potential of him finding satisfaction elsewhere. Jealousy that turned to worry that he simply no longer felt as strongly as he once did about her.
“Do you know what my hell was?” Kai pushed himself off the wall and approached her again, cautiously this time, like he didn’t trust himself. “Hmm?” He prompted softly, as he neared her, leaning into her without touching her.
Bonnie took a deep breath.
“Watching you, watching you do what we did with someone else.”
“That doesn’t sound like something you haven’t already done to yourself,” said Bonnie, trying and failing not to sound affected.
“This time it was never-ending. For centuries. This time it broke me.”
She looked up at him, eyes widened, mouth gape.
His voice dropped to a husky whisper. “I clawed my way here to see you.”
“To claim me,” she said matter-of-factly.
“And you’re quiet, you’re never quiet so I have to wonder if this is real. If you are real. And if you’re not…”
Bonnie could see the wrath in Kai’s gaze, the potential danger that would follow should this be an illusion.
“You’d be trapped in hell, there’s nothing you can do that.”
“I think you’ll find limitations don’t exist when it comes to what I’d do for you.”
Bonnie sighed and closed her eyes, intoxicated by the ferocity of his need for her to be there with him. Instinctively, she raised her head up to him, succumbing to the pulse that was drawing her to him … and then she stopped herself, moving away from the dark magnetism of his proximity.
Her back to him, she put her palm on her chest and took deep breaths to regulate her heart beat.
“Well, what do you want me to say, Kai?” She turned to him, throwing her hands up in the hair. “That you’ve been back five seconds and I dropped everything I was doing to come see you? Because I did.” She laughed bitterly. “This is fucking real.”
“You sound angry.” His voice was hopeful.
“I’m furious,” she whispered. “Because I felt you come back and I…” Bonnie couldn’t hold it in any longer – a tear betrayed her sincerity.
“I realized I missed you.”
Kai sighed, delighted, surprised.
She shook her head. “I’m in love,” she said.
Kai started and then licked his lips. “With Enzo,” he finished her thought.
“Don’t say his name like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like he’s beneath you. Like he’s not worthy.”
“No one’s worthy of you, Bonnie,” said Kai seriously. “But at least I offer you something.”
“I love him, Kai.”
“You’re just complacent with him.”
She pinched her nose with her thumb and forefinger. “Let’s not do this because we both know me loving him doesn’t matter. You’re not going to stop and I’m not going to be able to stop you.”
“You could kill me.”
“I’ve tried that.”
Kai nodded. “That’s a fair point.”
Bonnie cradled her head in her hands and then sniffled. “So what if it’s complacent? Don’t I deserve that after everything that I’ve gone through? Don’t I deserve complacency over a life of agony?”
“Even if what’s agonizing is desire?” Kai fixed his gaze on Bonnie again and she swallowed hard. “Don’t you deserve to feel something that powerful?”
Bonnie wiped her tears away. “Just because it’s powerful doesn’t mean that it’s good.”
“When did I ever say that it was good?”
“I want good,” said Bonnie desperately. “I want you to let me have good.”
“Bonnie---”
“Love me,” said Bonnie suddenly. “Properly. For once.”
Those words brought nothing but a silence that rang in both of their ears as they glared at each other, the tension a shiver on their skin, prickling them with goosebumps. Anticipation and unpredictability hung in the air. It was quick. Abrupt.
Kai kissed her – a possessive act that made Bonnie moan into his mouth as he pressed her against the wall for a second time. He slipped his hands over her behind, clenching, pulling her into him and she felt him hard against her. She gasped, forgetting her pleas for good, forgetting her love, feeling nothing but the utter sensation of Kai’s body against hers. His lips were on her neck, his fangs grazed her skin, a movement she felt between her legs, along her ache, making her whimper. She raised her head, allowing him to run his tongue along her throat, sucking and nibbling. She nipped his earlobe, her hands clawing at his shirt, lifting the fabric so that her fingertips stroking the tautness of his torso, compelling him to sigh with need. Kai pulled down the neckline of Bonnie’s shirt, straining it, and grazed her collarbone, kissing her chest, until she was yearning.
He kissed over the lace and Bonnie’s cried out in impatience.
“Let me take off my bra,” she whined.
“No.”
He pulled the cup away slightly and flicked his tongue over her nipple, grinning when he heard her curse.
“Kai--”
“No.” His voice cracked.
Bonnie was a writhing mess. This wasn’t enough, it wasn’t fair. She wanted more, she wanted everything, she wanted it now. “Let me take off your--”
“No.”
He knelt in front of her, unbuttoning her fly. He put one of her legs over his shoulder, tugging down her jeans just enough to expose her underwear and pushed them to the side. Bonnie took a sharp intake of air, bowing back when his mouth was on her. She raised her arm over her head, slamming her hand against the wall as her other hand gripped Kai’s hair. He drank in her scent, moaning as his tongue massaged her, the tip slowly circling her pulsing nub so that her legs trembled and hips bucked.
“Faster.”
Kai stilled his tongue, pressing against her ache.
“That’s not what I--- Fuck.”
He continued to torture her slowly, pinning her harder against the wall in an attempt to still her hips as she swelled with a pleasure so intense, she mewled. Bonnie needed to grip something but with nothing to hold onto, she could only claw at the man before her, gripping the back of his head and pressing him deeper into her depths. He looked up at her, eyes hooded, clouded with a desire both primal and restrained, it made her moan loudly. She wanted him. All of him.
“Kai, please.”
And then --
“What, why did you stop?”
Kai didn’t answer right away – all of his concentration worked toward reigning in his lust and coming back to himself, to ignore the throbbing that agitated him, that made it difficult to speak, to think, to breathe, that made him want to take her for hours, for eternity.
“I got what I needed.”
And then he left. Bonnie stared at the door, flushed and confused and frustrated. She ached for him, she craved him but to her dismay, she craved for what he purposefully denied her, what she had come to expect from their encounters – him buried in her, desperate and needy to consume her, to be consumed by her, to … to love her the proper way he knew to love her. Without that, she’d felt unfulfilled and that … she could already sense, was going to make her dangerous.
Definitely, the way that man stares at Kat when they aren't on screen, that boy was sprung. As for anything irl, I think the most they did was hook up and she was probably talking about him here. Based on his reputation at the time which to ke was serial monogamous, like he dated a lot of women but hot serious with them just as fast, I don't think that was her vibe at the time.
Dammmmn, dammmmnnn, so him and Paul really never gonna happen, him and Kat out the window, I’m so hurt cause i just i mean i never even got the chance to holla
