So I’m super duper late to the prompt from a couple weeks ago of “Core World/Back to Jakku,” but I had to do something for the theme, as I sincerely hope that our scrappy duo will get to revisit Sand Hell Planet in another riveting adventure.

Playing around with this week’s theme of “Heroes/Villains,” I tried my hand at a dark side berserker Rey vs. a light side paladin Finn. Oh the angst!!!!!! Here’s hoping Finn is able to help bring his bf/gf back to the light!
I also don’t imagine that Rey in this scenario joined up with the First Order, but rather that her rage and sorrow over their evil drove her to becoming a dark side force user to gain the power to tear its supporters apart, and to do so without remorse or guilt. The problem with berserkers, of course, is that their fury doesn’t allow for important distinctions like–for example–between the Knights of Ren, who willingly work for the First Order, and someone being forced under pain of death to make their weapons, grow their food, etc. Which is exactly why Finn, who knows all too well what its like living under the control of First Order, knowing what atrocities its followers will commit to advance its agenda, is trying to stop a raging Rey. I’m also not as up on my Star Wars lore as I should be, but I’m not aware of may cases of dark side vs. dark side, which might be an interesting line of stories to pursue!
So sorry I’m turning this in late! But here’s an image of Finn and Rey after their defeat of the First Order, with Finn displaying the saber of the tyrant Kylo Ren before it gets ceremoniously thrown into a pit of lava. Thanks again for hosting this event!
Kind of wild that “young people stalked by masked serial killer” is both the basic plot of many a horror movie and, to a large extent, The Force Awakens.

Hey, i just seen the movie. Finnrey is great there, even if small. We all know Finn doing all he's doing for Rey, but (spoilers here, so not sure if you want to publish it, as asks do not allow readmores, but PM me if you want to talk!), Rey worries about Finn on Ach-To. Closer to the end, Rey asks Chewie to give Finn her message if he sees Finn first (message is in wookie though). And finally, REUNION HUG! Also Finn is great in it in general! That 'rebel scum' phrase gave me shivers!
can I be totally honest? I was way disappointed by tlj, and not just because of the finnrey stuff (although yeah, that was part of it). I hope jj can come back and bring the quality of the storyline up
