In Violet Detector, when you start a new scorefile, you will only see 6 sections in the Manual. Two more will appear as you advance with your gameplay.

In Violet Detector, when you start a new scorefile, you will only see 6 sections in the Manual. Two more will appear as you advance with your gameplay.
In Violet Detector, the size of the "Best Shot" thumbnail depends on which resolution you played the game when you took the picture: small thumbnail for 640x480, medium thumbnail for 960x720 and large thumbnail for 1280x960.
The size of the picture won't change if you open the game at a different resolution than the one you had when you took it. For example if you took the picture at 640x480, the thumbnail will still be small even if you open the game at 1280x960 to view it.
You can have maximum 10 photos on the side of the screen in Violet Detector. If you exceed the limit and continue to take pictures, the one with the lowest score will be replaced.

Violet Detector has the same flower effect falling behind the "Now Loading" message as Hidden Star in Four Seasons, although the font has been changed (yes the loading screen background is also very similar, but it isn't the subject of this post).

The 1280x960 resolution has a different butterfly background than the other two. The appearances from Touhou 14, 14.3, 15 and 16 can be seen at: /post/744836603256651776/.
In 100th Black Market, Eternity Larva's spellcard background is dark, but not as dark as during Wrong Sunday from Violet Detector. However, it's still darker than in Hidden Star in Four Seasons/Tuesday from Violet Detector.
Eirin Yagokoro's and Kaguya Houraisan's spellcard backgrounds have an orange-red colour in Violet Detector.
The overlaying texture is also going downwards and slower in Violet Detector as opposed to Imperishable Night, where it goes upwards and faster. Worth to mention that the texture is based on the same image, but it's coloured differently depending on the character (gold for Eirin and dark green for Kaguya).
In Shoot the Bullet, their spellcard background looks like in Imperishable Night, so there was no need to add gifs from there.
