One of the many cool things about the Honorable Ones is that Zeb and Kallus both save each other when they don't have to anymore. Zeb didn't have to jump down onto that bonzami to save Kallus from falling and being eaten, but he did. Kallus didn't have to shoot the bonzami instead of Zeb, but he did. That's an entirely different layer of meaning than if they had only saved each other's lives while they needed each other to get out of the cave and it's such a brilliant touch.

I adore that the first time Kallus has a chance to shoot either Zeb or the bonzami the choice is made for him. Because we don't know him yet; we don't know he's the kind of man who would choose not to shoot Zeb. Maybe he doesn't know that.

I don’t think Kallus had any intention of double-crossing Zeb.

There was no hatred in his expression.

I really think he was trying to aim for the Zamboni Bonzami, but then the beast moved behind Zeb, and he had to really concentrate to not hit Zeb instead.

Look at the position of the bonzami in the previous frames:

The bonzami moved to the right, while Zeb while climbing moved to the left, making the two in-line, and causing Kallus to risk shooting Zeb.
