loving this idea of whenever dream has an episode or any sort of anxiety attack, techno will take him down to take care of the dogs as a way to relax and take his mind off things (i used to volunteer at a horse rescue and genuinely believe those horses saved my life)

in my aac au, he bonds with the foxes and has his own dog!

i think it'd be a little hard for him at first because he's afraid something would happen to any animal he cares about (even if it's technically techno's animal) but it's very soothing. it gives him something to focus on and techno is always right there, just in case.

dream would absolutely benefit from something that has affection/love for him but clearly could not want anything from him other having the basic needs met, y'know? a dog isn't planning to use you. they're just happy to have you around and that's kind of the thing that dream explicitly needs.
