I'm struggling to read The Left Hand of Darkness. I'm not sure if it's a mood thing or the book is different from what I expected. So anyone here who liked or disliked this book? :)

Honestly can't believe that barely into the first part of Crescent City, SJMaas pulled a mix of Nehemia's and The Thirteen's kind of pain on us.
@anassarhenisch you wanted to know my opinion about Purple Hibiscus and here it is: beautiful book! But there're many sad and dark moments in the story. It has sort of an optimistic ending, but it deals with dark topics such as physical and physiological abuse and fanatism. But in the end, I think the book is about Kambili discovering that there's a different way to live and finding love in her aunt and cousins.
And there're so many interesting discussions, the clash of traditions and catholicism, how a nation being so young is trying to organize itself and the impact of it in people's lives, the immigrants situations... it's really good. I highly recommend it!
I don't want to dnf The Left Hand of Darkness, but I'll do it. But maybe I'll pick it up again in the future? I fell like my brain can't deal with that book now.
And about The Thirteenth Tale I don't even know. Should I give it another try in the future? I think I'm avoiding big books again 😕
I read A Darker Shade of Magic last year but it was not my thing. I didn't like the characters and the story didn't catch my attention. But now I've started Vicious and I'm really enjoying it!! I noticed that I tend to like more Urban Fantasy books and I love the atmosphere of this one!
I've finished Vicious and it was so good! But I keep thinking, and this probably was discussed before, if the "beheading and burning the body" killing method would work on Eli? Hard to heal from that, buddy 👀
I've just finished Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica and wow. It's horrifying and bizarre and the ending is so disturbing.
At the same time, I think there were so many other more interesting stories to tell about that world that were only briefly mentioned? Don't know how to rate it at all 🙃
I finished reading Cheer Up: Love and Pompoms, a courtesy of NetGalley, and this comic is so cute! There’re some really sad and realistic problems but then suddenly, I was smiling like a FOOL with all the adorable scenes!!!
Gathering my thoughts to start to write the review :)
