Also, even though I’ve been avoiding spoilers for the series on TikTok and Instagram…. I still saw just a smidgen enough to manage to put together the whole Aelin thing as I was reading and I kinda wish I didn’t cuz that’s the kind of puzzle I would’ve liked to figure out on my own. But it is what is.

Anyways… of to go cry now.

Throne of Glass - Women Fancast

Just my personal take!

I’ve chosen to fancast actual actors—not models or influencers—for each female character in the Throne of Glass series. For every role, I’ve listed two options:

Book-Accurate – An actress who closely matches the character’s physical description or the overall vibe Sarah J. Maas describes.

Personal Vision – The actress I personally envisioned while reading, even if she doesn’t perfectly match the book’s description.

***** MINOR TOG SPOILERS *****

So part of this ToG series re-read is being able to pick up on things that I never noticed before / didn’t realise the ironicness of a situation or the foreshadowing because I didn’t know the outcome before. When i tell you there is too much foreshadowing to mention everything I mean there is. so. much. foreshadowing. and. hints. EVERYWHERE. and they aren’t even spoiler foreshadowing or hints, they are just small things like subtly hinting at Celaena’s heritage both book 1 & 2 or the foreshadowing of Kaltain’s death a book beforehand, so on, so forth.

One that I’ve just read and hadn’t put together even after the few re-reads i’ve done, is after Nehemia has died and Celaena has been placed in the dungeon. Chaol and Dorian are having a moment on the servants steps when Chaol is telling Dorian about the events leading up to Nehemia’s death, specifically when Chaol doesn’t understand how Celaena could run faster than a horse and before Celaena goes to the warehouse she describes her ‘killing calm’ and that even Arobynn didn’t realise how calm she could get when she went over the edge.

My theory is that when she slips into the ultra ‘killing calm’ (not just her regular killing calm), she somehow unlocks part of her Fae heritage and while the dampen on magic means she can’t fully shift, somehow a little bit of it seeps out and makes her vision better, her breath more stable, legs faster and stronger - basically everything she would get from the shift but on a smaller but still noticeable scale that allows her to run faster than a horse.

Side note - don’t get me wrong she is still strong, fast and more than capable of killing without it (i mean she’s a highly trained assassin for gods sake) but it’s just enhances her

Chaol antis say that it's partially Chaol's fault that Nehemia died bc he definitely could have prevented it from happening by informing someone like Celaena/Aelin or Dorian and then they could've stopped Nehemia from becoming a martyr.

They say that he was selfish and only thought about keeping his position as captain of the guard.

These are some valid takes, however if Nehemia felt that she was in danger, why didn't SHE tell Celaena/Aelin about it? Elena Galathynius also knew abt Nehemia and didn't do anything to prevent it from happening? Then why is Chaol the only one held accuntable for it?

Besides, even if they saved Nehemia, there's no posibility that she would survive the whole series and wouldn't have been kïlled of in another books.

Nehemia really named Celeana "Spirit That Could Not Be Broken" and then orchestrated her own death specifically to break Celeana's spirit
