Free Cooper Union held a 'Book Shield Workshop' today at Peter Cooper Square in NYC. Students from the Free Cooper Union occupation and their supporters created book shields and spoke about coordinating a citywide student movement as well as how to encourage students to unionize and demanding free higher education. The book shields weren't put to use but Free Cooper Union is expected to make a call out for a Book Bloc in the near future.
