The energy began to swirl around the lord, black embers licking his fur as if to comfort him in a way before they suddenly lunged at him, penetrating his body as they forced their way inside. “Hurk,” At first the dark pokemon didn’t want to let any pain show, he had won, he could here the angry cries of the beast as the nightmare pokemon absorbed it. He was the one that was forcing this to happen but it began to feel so good. The pain, the familiar pull of the darkness, his darkness. He could feel the years of misery and suffering he had accumulated, the nostalgic screams of all those he had claimed before. It was glorious.
With the beast fighting the lords pull the process took more time but soon the non broken souls that had been within its malformed body started to get absorbed. “You glutton,” The lord hissed jovially, “What were you planning on doing with such toys? Certainly you would not keep them to yourself.” Lord Darkrai began to break down the little screaming orbs as they entered his system lending to his power and his force became stronger. The energy flew to his wounds and they sizzled and smoked like they were being cauterized by hot iron. The monsters body started to break up its physical prescience leaving a patch of hardened dust where it had stood.
It was no match anymore and it quickly got sucked in, that was when the lord finally let out a scream as he felt his bones snapping and his muscles stretching, his body jerked around violently as he felt himself growing bigger to accommodate the energy that had grow larger in their time apart. Yet, as his screech echoed through the forest it was not one of pain, it was something far colder that caused every thing in that still moved into the forest to fall the the ground sniveling in fear.
In a single brilliant flash of black nothingness it was over.
All that remained was a inky fog that hovered over the ground and all was deathly silent.
At first it was a single chuckle but it soon rose into a hideous laugh that shook even the tree's down to their roots. They groaned in anguish as an ominous wind tore though the area, ripping through the foliage like a knife through soft flesh.
With a grin the lord tossed the container he was still holding and caskol quickly jumped over obediently and grabbed it from the unspoken order. “Can you feel that?” The dark creature asked lifting his arms as he felt the eerie wind rush through his fur. Now that this whole problem was finished his senses felt heightened and he could feel so much. The souls that still resided inside of him quivered in fear and he rumbled in delight. He forgot what that had felt like.
As another gust blew past him he caught the emotions of the war and his spirits couldn't help but sore even higher. “Better yet... can you hear it? The sound of war? The sound of screaming as hundreds fall, their blood gushing from every pore in their bodies. The sound of limbs flying through the air and claws raking across anothers soft tissue. The sound of fire as it consumes and ravages everything it touches...”
The lord of darkness broke out into a demonic smile as he laughed, “It is not enough.” He chided as he moved over to a tree, caressing it with a claw and watching as sickly veins sprouted form it as it began to disintegrate from his very touch. “I would have thought the king would have done better but this is only a tease. A single taste in the glorious misery that could be inflicted. But of course, he is fighting for a cause. Perhaps it is time I show them how pitiful and fruitless their endeavors truly are!”
With a snap of his fingers a black column of fire shot up form the base of the tree incinerating it in seconds and leaving a hole that nothing would ever dare touch again. The sadistic creature didn’t even glance back as he darted off for the battle field, It was time to show everyone that the lord of darkness was back.
