F is for FISH & FRIENDS...! Hs class is working on the letter F right now. We signed up to be guest reader/crafter and decided to read about how the rainbow fish makes friends by sharing his scales. @brittanybgriggs cut out our paper plate fish, I added eyes, and then I just brought adhesive-backed foam pieces. It was minimal prep and went really well! H’s class had some kids who spent the entire 25 mins working diligently on their fish. Others quickly decided to run around with their fish “eating” each other. But, either way, peeling the adhesive off each piece was a really good test of fine motor skills and they all had fun. I knew M wouldn’t let us live it down if we didn’t also visit her class, so we did the same thing with her 2yo bunch. They’re the younger 2s but they were totally dialed into the book and craft. I did do a little more prep for them — cutting back the corners of the foam squares so that they had paper to grasp and peel back.
