How are we feeling about Ready Player Two? 👀
Readers, help!
Should I buy THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO for my mum? I’ve read the synopsis and I think she’d like it but I don’t know if the plot is complex enough or if the characters are well-developed. From all the praise it gets, I guess it must be amazing. But if someone wouldn’t mind giving me a second opinion, that’d be great. Thanks!

Greetings Godlings!
As you all may know I have just got back from my super loooooooonnnnnggggg hiatus, and when I came back I had some trouble picking up a book to read, but I asked you guys to recommend me some and this book was brought to my attention.
This book. Ugh. It kick started my fantasy again. I’ll give a proper review once I’m finished with it, then I’ll link it here!
Disclaimer: I do not own the pictures/gifs/manips unless stated, I give credit to whoever made them. If this is your work, I would gladly give this post an edit and give you a shoutout if you want.
I generally only own my banner and my words.💋
Help me pick what I should read next (pt 2)
About a month ago I made a plea for help deciding what to read next (see more here)! Due to popular opinion I chose Little Men by Louisa May Alcott. I’m on the last chapter now, so I’m not quite finished but I actually really really liked it! I liked it a lot more than I expected to at least. So far I found surprisingly moving, and so cozy! It was the perfect book to bring in the the coziest season with. I did find it a little slow at some points, and there’s not really a huge over arching plot as it kind of serves as a series of vignettes instead. Little Women is like that too in a way, but Little Women I feel like had a more structured plot and was more character driven in a sense than Little Men is. I would definitely recommend to Little Woman fans though!
All that is to say that unfortunately, I got through Little Men a lot quicker than I expected, so now I’m back in my original predicament.
Below is an updated list of what I am considering:
1. Go back and read one of the books I bought after I started my mission and skipped. These are:
Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
2. Skip Dickens for now and start The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
3. Read one of the books suggested last round that I didn’t pick (for what it’s worth, I do own both of these so I will be getting to them eventually in pursuit of my reading goals, but I’m willing to move them up in priority if enough people think it’s worth it):
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
4. Finally get to a book on my TBR list on Goodreads (which narrowing down a selection from that would be a feat, so take a peek if you want to see if there’s something on there I should prioritize: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/1590977-beth?shelf=to-read)
5. It’s not too late for a spooky halloween-y read, if it’s short enough! I’m still considering The Witches by Roald Dahl, but I’m up for suggestions.
6. Offer a suggestion of something else you think I would enjoy!
Shoot me you opinions and/or suggestions!
