THEORIES FOR THE NEXT BOOK, GLIDED BLADE.
This was a conversation I had with my friend so I will be writing this post out like a script. We’ll call her “Jade”.
(The conversation begins with the book covers. How the first was a Club, second a diamond, and how the next cover would have to refer to heart or diamond. Despite this, the covers may not be just pointing out the teams in the book, but the teams that were playing out in plain sight.)
Artemis: So I organized the cards by every single detail.
Aces:
- Rohan, Diamond - Libby, Heart - Eve, Spade - Matthias, Spade
*No Club
Queens:
- Avery, Spade - Gigi, Club - Savannah, Diamond - Lyra, Heart
Kings:
- Nash, Heart - Jameson, Spade - Tobias, Club *No Diamond
Jack: - Xander, Club *Only one
10: -Alisa, Club
9: -Knox, Club
8: - Grayson, Heart - Toby, Diamond - Hannah, Spade
*No Seven*
6: - Brady, club
3: - Odette, Heart - Watcher/Calla, Club
2: -Tiramisu, Heart
Artemis:
Notice Matthias is a spade Ace. That doesn’t make sense since Eve is a spade ace as well. But there’s no Club ace. Unless MATTHIAS SWITCHES LOYALTY to clubs.
Toby asks what type a card to Hannah. She says “Spade”.
Jade:
Oh yeah also in the first book they were teams based off the suits
Red black white
Hearts/diamonds - red (calla/watcher)
Spades/clubs - black (the omega/Alice?)
Monoceros - white
Artemis:
Hm, Yes. Diamonds and hearts are red. Spade and Clubs are black. But also the cards we were given [from JLB Instagram] have colors too.
[B]- Blue, Cards introduced for “The Grandest Game”.
[G] - Golden/Yellow Background, cards introduced for “Games Untold”.
[P] - Purple Background, introduced for “Glorious Rivals.”

Spades: Avery [G](Q), Jameson [G](K), Eve [P](A), Matthias [P](A), and Hannah [G](8)
Diamonds: Rohan [B](A), Savannah [B](Q), and Toby [G](8)
Hearts: Grayson [B](8), Lyra [B](Q), Odette [B](3), Libby [G](A), Nash [G](K), and Tiramisu [G](2)
Clubs: Gigi [B](Q), Knox [B](6), Brady [B](9), Watcher [P](3), Alisa [P](10), Tobias Senior.[P] (K), and Xander [G](J)
Artemis:
Strange set is hands wouldn’t you say?
Jade:
Hm?
Artemis:
All the cards have an Ace, except clubs.
Clubs has the most number Ranks, and the biggest group. But they are majority, sidelined characters.
Plus clubs are the only one with a Jack. Xander.
Clubs are also the only team with all colored cards. The characters you wouldn’t expect.
Xander was brushed aside by his brothers, Alisa was kicked out the story looking for Odette and Gigi, Gigi was kidnapped, Knox was sidelined, and Brady was majorly side lined, and Tobias was barely mentioned at all, and the watcher only had one real chapter with dialogue.
Avery, Jameson, Eve, and Matthias must all have something in common. (But we don’t know what).
Rohan, Savannah, and Toby all had father trauma and have egos.
Why involve tiramisu at all in hearts? But what if this is Jen’s way of saying they’re the heart of the family?
Jade:
That’s true.
Artemis:
I believe these are how the chapters are going to be grouped together.
Grayson will be supported by Nash.
Jameson might team up with Eve and Matthias.
Jade:
Oh I could see that
I mean we know Jameson will do whatever it takes to win and when that means saving Avery he’ll do literally anything even if that means working with Eve.
Artemis:
Exactly.
[We then moved to trying to figure out who the third of the three from Glorious Rivals could be. AKA, Moneceros]
Artemis:
Potential people to be the third one:
Acacia (not her style or vibe)
Eden Rooney (She’d be old has Tobias so…no.)
Alisa (But she’s still with them. So no.)
Libby’s mom! (We know nothing about her…seems random)
Hannah (Potential)
Jade:
Agreed
I def don’t think it’s the duchess but there’s still potential for the Monoceros to be connected to the devils mercy bc I don’t think that’s be played out as much as it could especially with Rohan and his backstory and the whole heir thing going on
Artemis:
It’s women so it rules out a lot of characters

What theory do I present? These cards are revealing the true teams. Team Heart, Team Spade, Team Diamond, and Team Clubs.
Diamonds is the smallest.
Heart has characters that are emotion driven.
Spades have the most impulsive characters.
Clubs have the unexpected.
