I'm mad autistic for lists and data collection so that's what I look for the most but the social aspect is also ok. Currently thinking of Storygraph, I heard that one mentioned a lot.

2018 Book Tracking - 4th Quarter & Yearly Totals

2018 has come to a close and for me, at least in terms of reading, its been a really successful year. Firstly, let me sum up my 4th quarter reading totals:

Books Read: 20

Pages Read: 5058

Audio Hours: 163h 35m

Adult Books: 10

YA Books: 10

Midgrade Books: 0

Physical Books Read: 13

Audio Books Read: 7

E-Books Read: 0

Not bad numbers at all - down in the physical from the 3rd quarter, but overall pretty good (especially considering I work in retail, at Christmas).

I’m really, really pleased with the overall Yearly totals that I racked up. This being the first year I’ve ever actually tracked my reading I think I did exceptionally well. I don’t necessarily expect to do as well in 2019 (I cleared a lot of midgrade novels at the beginning of 2018 which bumped my numbers up significantly) but I at least have something of a benchmark to compare against.

2018 Totals:

Books Read: 99

Pages Read: 21,442

Audio Hours: 630h 40m

Adult Books Read: 59

YA Books Read: 22

Midgrade Books Read: 18

Physical Books Read: 66

Audio Books Read: 31

E-Books Read: 2

I’m excited to see what 2019 brings in my reading adventures. I’m hoping to do a lot more e-books this year and a few more ARCs (I’ll be tracking those numbers in 2019 as well). Hopefully I’ll be better about reviewing everything I’m reading as well, so there will be more posts about amazing and fantastic books!

2018 Book Tracking - 3rd Quarter

Its that time of year… My reading totals for the third quarter of 2018:

Books Read: 24

 YA Books: 4

 Midgrade Books: 0

 Physical Books: 19

 e-Books: 0

 Audio Books: 5

Pages Read: 6419

Audio Hours: 114 hours 38 minutes

Not too bad this quarter. I’m definately on track to hit 100 books by the end of the year. Need to focus a bit more on my YA books for the tween/teen book club, but I’m working my way through my TBR pile a bit. Of course, I’ve got a bunch of new books coming over the next few months...

Its that time of year again... My reading totals for the second quarter of 2018:

  Midgrade Books: 0

  Physical Books: 9

  Audio Books: 12

Pages Read: 3173

Audio Hours: 213 hours 23 minutes

I’ve slipped a bit in reading actual books (my TBR pile has grown a bit taller...) but have really stepped up my audio book game. I’m hoping to make a dent in all those physical books I have waiting for me in the next quarter - I have all the books for the tween/teen bookclub that I run to read and am hoping to spin through them fairly quickly to be ahead of the curve before we start up again in September, so that should help my numbers a bit. Looking forward to what quarter 3 brings!

2018 Book Tracking - 1st Quarter

So by the inspiration of friends, I decided to track my reading totals for 2018. I don’t have any sort of goal in mind (I know lots of people aim to complete a specific number of books in a year), I just wanted to see what all I read in a year. I am including audio books completed as well, so I have audio hours in my totals. So here are my totals after the first quarter of 2018:

Books Read: 34

   Adult books: 12

   YA Books: 4

   Midgrade Books: 18

   Physical Books: 25

   e-Books: 2

   Audio Books: 6

Pages Read: 6810

Audio Hours:121 hours 4 minutes

So I think that is a pretty good start to the year. I’ll be interested to see where things go from here.
