Reblog if you got something music related for Christmas!
I got a new microphone, boom stand, and pop filter. (My parents used my amazon wishlist). Expect new recordings coming from me soon!
So I bought a boom stand, so that my mic is actually steady when i record some original stuff, so hopefully that helps. Trying to work on something new, but not a lot of time to do it since I have a lot of homework -_- but I'm gonna try this upcoming weekend, so be on the lookout just in case i do :) Keep sending in your guitar related questions, because I love answering them, and helping you guys out! :D Anyways, I'm out for tonight, but just keep on rocking, ladies and gentlemen :)
I think I need a boom stand or more than one. I'm on a budget since I don't need them strictly for work. I use camera flashes and Elinchrom heads. Can you help me to find the right ones? I'm a wedding photographer and a big fan of yours.
You do not want to cheap out on a boom and stand. Trust me. You want a rock solid stand. A strong boom. And good conter weights and grip stuff to connect it all.
You can start with a Kupo or Avenger C stand with an arm. Something like this...

That arm can boom a head and beauty dish. Just make sure you have a good 20 - 25 pound sandbag on the legs and don't fly it out too much. That would be a good place to start.
Cheers,Zack
First Look: Samson MK-10 Professional Mic Stand Before we trudge onward into the plethora of new videos I have in store for the channel, I thought it would make sense to introduce you all to my new microphone stand: the Samson MK-10. I'd highly recommend this boom stand to anyone with a small studio or home setup. Check out the video for more! The strength and resistance you can feel when setting height is very comforting. You know that your microphone will be safe and sound when attached to this guy.
