Just read the the archives recording the after action reports of the fight between Boone and Ex-Governor Sapp. Boone dismantling Sapp's bolt pistol through telekinesis was an impressive feat. Did you practice that beforehand or was that something you came up with on the fly?
I didn’t practice that feat exactly, it’s basically a combination of two skills.
The commissar is amazing at partially or completely field stripping weapons. It’s something she has practised to a bizarre level. She can do stuff like undo screws with her pinkies and disengage slides by gripping them correctly.
The only library in my sector of Hetrodyne was destroyed in an attack about half way through my 40 year exile there. So, on my rest days when I wasn’t training I would field strip weapons. For hours at a time. Sometimes every day of the week. I found it relaxing and it has come in useful more than once.

I would see her doing it at her desk quite a lot. Either with her own weapons or with one she had selected from the armoury. Perhaps as a challenge to herself or just to give them a clean. It was fascinating to me because it’s the only thing I see her do that seems to have any degree of delicacy.
I would just watch her at first...but I eventually asked her if I could learn.
Now...I’ve only been doing it maybe 5 years and I am nothing like her, so like, I need tools and stuff to take a weapon apart, but with many weapons I have learned about where the screws are and what goes where and which pieces they come in to.
So basically, I have learned to deconstruct weapons with my hands...
and I’ve been training my my mind to do what my hands can.
I had a lot of focus at that time. It’s not something I would rely on myself to do.
