on a serious note I think the resault of rhysand doing all of that would be devestating for the court aswell as their life. Like i’m dying to see s scene with the inner circle reacting to either reader being the mother of rhysands child or them reacting to what rhysand did. I think there would be nothing that could save him. Manipulating her thoughts into agreeing into giving into him???? sounds very amarantha if i may say so. Also him not giving a shit ab his own MATE and son is just crazy. Feyre needs to leave asap. Literally flee, maybe to a redeemed tamlin?

Imagine if they had soulmates 3000 years ago (melizabeth):

1) somewhere on your body, the first ever thing your soulmate says to you is written in their handwriting. That person could be shouting to a crowd, but that's not written on your body, only what they directly say to you is.

if they met on a battlefield, then...

Elizabeth's words are on her left thigh, sorta slanted: Shame that such a pretty little thing like you won't live to see tom-

Her entire life, she hoped it was some sort of joke that someone she bumped into would say. she'd lie to everyone else about what it was, and if her mother asked to see it, she'd written something a lot less violent on her wrist or someplace to show her.

Meliodas would maybe have something in a curly-ish font on his stomach. If the two met while Elizabeth was still 'Bloody Eli', then possibly something like: Ark

he hid it from everybody, telling himself that he'd kill his soulmate if she was a goddess.

So they meet in the midst of a battle, and meliodas says what he says first. Elizabeth panics as she realises that it's exactly what's printed on her thigh, and in her bubbling panic, interrupts him and yells Ark.

Cue an injured Meliodas and a fretting Elizabeth quite a distance away in a forest.

Orrr, the words on Mel's stomach could have been could have been: I'm not easily defeated, bastard.

He wouldn't have hidden it from anyone because he was sure that his soulmate was a fighter, someone who could challenge him.

Cue the two meeting and Meliodas saying what he says, Elizabeth then replies, and the two just pause and realise at the same time.

Another scenario, where Elizabeth has taken a more peaceful approach, and on his stomach are the words: and what will my death account to in this pointless war?

As the two met on a mountain, their soulmate words could still be sorta the same, or,

Elizabeth would have something like: Aren't you going to attack?

And printed on Meliodas' stomach would be: I have no reason to harm you.

(if this continued with the curse, then Mel would maybe try to not talk to her at all).

1a) or, those words only appear on you once you turn a particular age

same thing rlly, but the two have met countless times before. they receive their soulmate words on a particular birthday. when they next meet, they realise they're soulmates.

2) A black mark is somewhere on you, and that is where your soulmate will first touch you. After, it will explode into millions of colours.

I imagine the two would try as hard as they could to cover the marks. some ppl would try to casually touch royalty to claim them as their soulmate.

There could be a black stain on Elizabeth's knuckles and Meliodas' stomach because she punches him.

There could be a black stain over her arms and his shoulders, because she hugs him.

Maybe something simple like a shoulder-pat or knees brushing.

(Mel tries to not touch the reincarnations- but Idk abt that).

3) whatever physical pain you feel, your soulmate feels them but halved

Goddesses heal their wounds, so Meliodas would feel half of what Elizabeth felt on the same part of his body only for a few seconds before it vanishes completely. This confuzzles him.

Demons can sorta regenerate to a limit, but I'd say that Elizabeth can still feel phantom pain.

They'd both look around people in their clan to see any injures, and find none that is in the same spot as theirs.

and when they become a couple, they're super worried whenever they feel the other is injured and always tries to check on the other.

(so with the curse, mel would try to not get injured when elizabeth was still a child. and whenever he felt pain, he'd immediately try to subtly check her. if they hadn't met by then, he'd silently sit through the pain).

4) where you can communicate with your soulmate through writing on your body.

So many things could happen! Names can't be revealed, but the two would rlly enjoy writing to each other. Eli would melt Mel, and she would be so happy that her soulmate is someone she can relate to( children of gods) and someone who's sweet. Maybe they used to write to each other as kids, and then Mel halted for a while, but returned and realised that she was lovely. They plan to meet up somewhere in Britannia.

Meliodas and Elizabeth reach the same spot, and don't realise the other is their soulmate straight away. They write on their arms to their soulmate to ask where they are, and they either bump into each other, or spot the other person writing on their arm and suddenly realise. Then it's adorable awkardness.

(if this happened with the curse, then maybe Meliodas wouldn't reply at all. maybe he would when she was upset, but then stop).

5) a timer that counts down to the second you look into your soulmate's eyes

Meliodas on the mountain, realising his timer has around five seconds remaining, and turning around as he feels someone's energy approaching. He looks up and sees Elizabeth.

They both sorta pause in realisation.

(maybe with the curse, Mel wouldn't have a timer since he'd technically already met his soulmate. Or maybe he would and knows specifically when he'd meet Elizabeth again).

6) the world is black and white until you look into your soulmate's eyes.

Meliodas knows Elizabeth is his soulmate first, but doesn't say anything about it. She doesn't know because his demon eyes are activated, not his actual ones.

He doesn't want her to be his soulmate at first, but slowly gets to know her and falls rlly deeply. Let's say they're laughing at something in Heaven's Theatre, and his eyes accidentally change to green. Elizabeth looks into them and stops laughing. Meliodas gulps.

(whenever she dies, meliodas' world turns black and white. when they next make eye contact, his world turns to colour. some elizabeth's have seen colour for most of their lives because mel looked into her eyes as a baby. Or, mel's world could always be in colour because he's techincally already met his soulmate).

7) red string soulmates.

sometimes the strings flash so people can randomly see them.

meliodas tries to burn his off. Multiple times. It never works.

8) The last words your soulmate says to you are written on your body.

idk, just imagine. It could be something rlly sweet, but it could also be something really casual.

When melizabeth eventually fell in love, they were sure that they were each other's soulmate, but were also sure that it would be ages and ages before they'd die.

Then they fight their parents, realise theyve said their soulmate words, but are sure that they'll die together.

(Maybe Meliodas' words change with every reincarnation.

9) OR, everyone has something different that identifies when theyve finally met their soulmate. for example, meliodas could have the first words elizabeth say to him written on his chest, and elizabeth's world could have been black and white until she looked into his eyes (with the writing to each other via their body, one would be able to see whatever the other writes/draws on their body but they cant respond).

In some situations, either Meliodas or Elizabeth would find out the other is their soulmate first.

after they fall in love, they tell each other what soulmate identifier they have. Whatever Elizabeth has, her reincarnations have the same, and Mel would try his hardest so she wouldn't realise its him.
