I rarely post on here and this isn't what I usually post but I just wanted a place to vent my frustrations about a dumb situation involving my favorite cosplayer/artist Booplesnoot, I'll be referring to them by their actual name since it's in the bio's of all their socials and because I don't want to keep typing booplesnoot over and over again. So people have been accusing Alice (booplesnoot) of dating Andrew Hussie and also harassing them about it as well which caused them to take their current break from posting which at the time of me writing this is around 3 months which is the longest I've ever seen them not post anything. Most of this harassment seems to come from kiwi farms, it seems like people on here are just repeating what they've read. Now for the actual evidence of Alice dating Hussie is pretty bad, it really just boils down to them hanging out with Hussie, helping Hussie at some cons , and them correcting misinfo about/defending some Hussie's actions. All this just points to them being friends and I've seen no actual evidence of any kind of romantic/sexual relationship between them.
The only real "evidence" of Alice dating Hussie is this reply they received under a post they commented on. This comment really pisses me off not only because it provides no actual evidence to back their claims but also the fact that some people are taking some complete random guys word at face value and believe he's telling the truth when again they've provided no evidence and no reason to believe them. I understand Hussie's a controversial person who has a lot of haters for various reasons but that doesn't mean you can just make up shit about people associated with them to try and drag them through the mud. I expect nothing less from those human garbage on kiwi farms but I expected better of people on other sites.
The worst thing about this situation is as a fan of Alice i consider them to be extremely underrated, sure Alice has a pretty big following but anytime I see people talking about cosplayers online Alice is almost never mentioned despite how talented they are. Unlike some other cosplayers Alice actually makes their cosplays instead of just buying them online and unlike other cosplayers don't just cosplay the current trendy characters, they often cosplay characters from obscure/less popular media because they truly love cosplaying their favorite characters regardless of if they're popular or not. Another thing about this situation I hate is this dumb ass drama is most I've seen people talk about Alice, so people are finally talking about them but it's not for cosplays, art, any of their other talents or hell even for how attractive they but because some stupid gossip that has basically no evidence to support it. Seeing someone who's super passionate about their hobbies and someone who I respect deeply get harassed off the internet because of some bullshit rumors fucking sucks, they don't deserve this shit.
Anyway I just wanted to rant about this so I could get it off my mind, hopefully next time I post it'll be about something more positive
