Booster calling Amazi-girl ("Slamber" lol) "one of" Amber's alters reminds me. We haven't seen if Amber has any other headmates yet, but I would kinda like that. and. I want Mike Tulpa to come back but as a full-blown alter. think of the damage this would do to Amber and Ethan and probably everyone else too.

One of the few legitimate points of criticisms I do have with Dumbing of Age is that its representation of trans women, and even more broadly transfem people in general, is kind of bad.

Once you discount the characters who's transfemininity come from (admittedly pretty plausible) subtextual interpretation or fan theories - like Dorothy, Walky, and Danny - you're left with Carla, Jocelyne, and Booster.

Two out of the three canon transfems in just listed are defined in their characterization primarily as self-entitled cartoonishly mean-spirited assholes that take joy in other people's suffering and the only one that isn't is the one who appears the least out of the three of them.
