The thing about Big Barda and Cassandra cains relationship is that there is a lot more emotions on Bardas side then on Casses.
Cass gets along with Barda because they are fairly kindred in their love of fighting, their wilfulness and their shared traumas. She likes that barda is so expressive and open and also an older adult who never demeans her.
But for barda its like: there is this girl who is one of like 3 people in the universe who understand you and she is small and deeply kind and empathetic in ways you lack because she wasn't broken in the way you were. And she is also a warrior who moves fluidly and fights gently (Like Auralie) and is tricky and clever (like Scott) and you HAVE to protect her because she is beautiful and nice and young and everything that was taken from you and you are only just regaining.
