Irritation welled in my chest as I had to set down my glass filled almost to the brim with red wine to address whoever it was that was behind my door, knocking on it. With every step I took, a sense of dread filled me to my very core.
Maybe it was like sixth-sense, but I knew that the person on the other side of this door was going to piss me off. Well, what would you know? I was right. I could see my brother through the peephole of the door.
I wanted nothing to do with him right now, but I knew better than that.
“What do you want?”
I knew the tone I gave to my brother just then would earn me a hard thump on the head—and it did. He thumped me with the open part of his palm to my forehead. I couldn’t be bothered with putting up a false persona to greet him with.
He said something about giving him a heads up if he was going to be stood up before he shoved a box into my hands.
Ah—that’s right. I was supposed to come over tonight so we could eat dinner together. When will he realize that I am eating food? I’m not the one with the history, here. I don’t cook for myself, but I have my ways of getting food into my system. Whether it be having someone use my kitchen to prepare a meal, or going out to eat food, I always made sure to eat. I also made sure to sleep well.
I’m not like you, you stupid workaholic. Eating with Shugarl completely slipped my mind considering… what happened a few hours prior with Arashi and I was in no mood. “Sorry, I forgot.”
I give up. He’s only going to be mad with me anyways, so I might as well just own up to it, get scolded and then be set free. To be honest, I am a bit nervous because Shugarl may just pick up on the smell of wine wafting through the air.
I assure you that I don’t plan on becoming an alcoholic so don’t you worry about that. I stood there in the doorway, waiting for it. Shugarl was going to thump me again for forgetting about our scheduled dinner time.
SEND ME 🌺 TO PLACE A FLOWER IN MY MUSE’S HAIR. + ||Accepting||
Ponsol was picking out some flowers to put into a bouquet and he’d asked Kajika to come along so he could ask her for her opinion on a few things. He was staring intently at all of the flowers available, trying to decide on a theme for what he wanted his bouquet to say.
Not only was the meaning important, but so was the general health of all of the flowers. He wasn’t going to settle for flowers that were unhealthy or wilted. Only the best of the flowers were acceptable. Nothing else in the world was registering to him as he was busily constructing a bouquet inside of his head.
This was going to be given to his mother, so it had to be perfect. She was going to be a guest speaker at one of the highschools, so he wanted to go and meet her and give her a bouquet of flowers to welcome her with at the airport. It’s been some time since they’d last seen each other so he wanted to do something for her.
He truly respected and loved his mother, so he was judging all the flowers in the store with a critical eye. Rounding trips to various flower shops, he was looking for the best of the best. Some stores offered different flowers, and he didn’t want to miss out on using some flowers only because he didn’t check another shop to see what they offered in their selection.
Finally, after a good few hours of the day, they’d reached the last shop and he was almost done with constructing the mental bouquet in his head. Just one more—oh that one would do just the thing. Picking the flower out from the rest of its brethren, he let out a small breath of relief. Finally, he was done. Turning towards Kajika who was giggling quietly, he finally noticed that she’d placed four flowers in his hair. They were the flowers that he asked her to hold for him as he was deciding on what other flowers he wanted to add to the bouquet. Rolling his eyes, and chuckled in response.
“Sorry, I was zoning out that bad, wasn’t I?” He knew that when he was in the ‘zone,’ he stopped paying attention to anything else around him. Plucking the flowers out of his hair, he walked over to the registers to purchase the flowers. Now, he was ready to put together his bouquet.
[✧゚・*♚*・゚✧ ] No doubt Ponsol was also very warm. He'd even taken off his jacket, and rolled up his sleeves if you couldn't tell. Even with all that he was still very warm. He was just acting as though nothing had phased him. It was a good exercise to enhance your acting skills. When you had a nasty temperament like he, then you needed to possess some wicked acting skills.
❝Is that so? In that case you might as well patiently bare with it.❞
A side glance when Izumi mentioned he'd be half naked if he were to do as he'd suggested. Were you truly going to say something like that at this point in time, when the both of them are outside in public? A slight twitch of the eyebrow when Izumi questioned if he wanted to see his skin, and suggested he buy a magazine which had a shirtless photoshoot inside it's covers.
『The sun damage has finally affected his brain. How unfortunate... they haven't found a cure for stupid yet.』
A smile ever present on his face as he contemplated on how he should respond to Izumi.
❝I can see plenty of your skin right now, the one on your face.
That is all I need to see, I can assure you of that. How about
instead we go somewhere else like an ice rink or something?❞
That should keep you cool, wouldn't it? Would also help you keep your clothes ON.
@wild-untamed-heart liked for a starter!
Just let me know if you want anything changed.
[✧゚・*♚*・゚✧ ] Just another boring day with no real beneficial contacts to add into his social networking. If he could find someone, he’d immediately get up to strike up a conversation, of course.
Tapping his fingers across the table, Ponsol took a sip of his Earl Grey tea quietly. The door of the cafe opened, prompting the man to look up from his tea cup and over at the door.
『She looks oddly familiar. Perhaps she is... a Burnsworth? Today may not be such a waste for me after all.』
❝Excuse me, Miss. Are you alone today? Would you care to join me?
I rather enjoy having a cup of tea or coffee with company to speak to.❞
Of course, if she refused at this time, that would be fine. He was sure to find you at another time in the future and approach again.
Verse: Were!au
Summary: This goes into the idea that Ponsol had gone away from home for a while due to some extenuating circumstances and he had to leave @mismatcheddoll alone for a while and he’s finally returning home. Just a small lil thing because we always talk about it and I felt like writing a thing so here we go.
-
He had been away for quite some time dealing with some… things, but he was finally on his way back home. He had let his elder brother know in advance of his return, and asked him to please check back on his place to ensure that everything was in good condition.
Shugarl saw the piles of clothes litered in the corner of the room and sighed at the sight. 'He would do something like this'—is what he thought, not knowing that it was a certain little Were-pom who had made a nest of Ponsol’s clothes to immerse himself in the scent of his beloved.
It wasn’t until the laundry was finished that Shugarl realized what he’d done to the distraught Pomeranian who was severely missing the Alpha of the house.
The were-pom had returned after going on a grocery run to see that the clothes with Ponsol's scent have been washed. He no longer had a nest of his lover's scent to comfort him in his time of loneliness. He was about to shed some tears when Shugarl spoke up, in a slightly rushed tone.
Though it was a secret (as Ponsol wanted to give him a surprise), Shugarl let him in on the fact that Ponsol was returning home soon so forgive him for doing the laundry. Just be patient for a little while longer and you’ll be able to see the real thing soon enough.
When the platinum blond did return home, he could smell the scent of the other deep within the compound. “Mika, I’m home. Aren’t you in?”
Instantly, he could hear a yipping sound and then he could see a small ball of fluff bounding towards him, jumping into his arms like some kind of furry torpedo. If you asked if he were hurt by this action, he’d say he wasn’t, but he worried that Mika may have hurt himself instead.
“Ponsol-kun, Ponsol-kun, I missed ya!” The small Pomeranian rubbed his face into his chest, trying to get his scent to rub off onto him.
A small and gentle smile appeared on Ponsol’s face as he set the small dog down and gave him the command, ‘stay,’ which Mika hesitantly obeyed. Ponsol started to shift into his were-form. The sounds of his bones shifting and cracking always made him feel unnerved, but the fact he never felt any substantial pain calmed him down.
Fur was covering his entire body and his line of vision was lowering as he was changing from being a bipedal creature to one that stood proudly on 4 legs. Pushing his clothes (now too big for him) into a pile with his muzzle, he walked deeper into the living room before he lay down leisurely. “You may approach now.”
It didn’t take long for the Pomeranian to run to his side, nuzzling into his soft fur. He was nuzzling so close to him, half his body was lost in Ponsol's pale blond colored fur. The only thing you could see was the curly tail wagging so quickly, Ponsol worried Mika may accidentally break it.
Truly, it was nice to be given such a warm welcome after a long time away. “I take it you’ve been well?”
“Mn! I was ‘lright! I took real good care of the house for ya~”
He was like a young puppy who was excited to announce the fact that he successfully completed a ‘mission’ tasked to him. It was endearing, truly. “You did a good job, I’m proud of you.” Ponsol moved so he could reach Mika and nuzzle his face.
It’s been so long since he’d been home and the exhaustion of all the travelling had done a number on him. Now that he was home, where he could relax, he curled up around Mika. The smaller canine was wrapped around on all sides by his own warm body.
Tired, Ponsol’s eyes slowly closed and he drifted off into sleep, with Mika underneath all his fur. Most likely he was going to join Ponsol for a quick nap, and then he’d wake up first, pop out from that mass of fur and wake Ponsol up by licking his muzzle.
Under readmore because I like to put everything under a readmore.
Ponsol was feeling rather proud of himself at the current moment. He’d just checked his height, and he’s grown a decent amount since the last time he’d checked. If memory served, he was the same height as his brother now.
It was only a matter of time before he would finally grow maybe that extra inch and be taller than his brother. He could finally beat him at something… anything. That man was nothing but a hindrance in his quest to be the best.
“Ponsol.”
“Shugarl. I see that your facial muscles still haven’t learned how to get away from that scowl of yours.”
“I see that your crocodile smile is as unpleasant as usual.”
This was the way they normally greeted each other, so it was no surprise for them to start things off with making jabs at each other. Most would think that their relationship was a bad one. Though you couldn’t say it as ‘good,’ but it wasn’t bad. This is simply how the two showed their brotherly love for each other. ‘Tough love’ you could say.
The heir has always seen his brother to be someone he had to surpass in some way. He had some sort of natural charisma to him that all the business men wanted. Maybe it was his stoic nature that made him hard to read? Though Ponsol was intelligent, Shugarl was a genius. Height-wise, even Shugarl was taller than him (not anymore, but that was beside the point). He couldn’t do anything about height given Shugarl was born earlier than he was.
There were a lot of people who preferred the redhead’s looks over his looks. How does one retain any form of pride when your ‘perfect’ brother excelled in everything? No, almost everything.
Ponsol could beat him if it came down to artistic means of self-expression, other known as ‘art’. This was simply a field Shugarl lacked much talent in. He also couldn’t compare to Ponsol when it came down to fencing. It was a curious thought as to why this was, but Ponsol could use weaponry as if it was natural to him. His elder brother was adept with weaponry, but he wasn’t able to defeat his younger brother if they were both holding a weapon in hand.
Now, if they were to compete with hand to hand combat, Shugarl would win hands down.
As fulfilling as it was to finally have something he was better at his brother with, things like fencing and art weren’t really things that would help further him in life. Since they were children, Ponsol has always aspired to beat his brother at something, and Shugarl would always calmly walk ahead, occasionally looking back to see how far his brother has come.
He never spoke his thoughts out loud, but he was very proud of his ‘baby brother’. He was always working hard, striving to be the best he could be, always aiming for ‘his head,’ figuratively speaking. The genius Graduate student was always rooting for his brother, hoping that one day he’ll finally reach his goal and beat him at something.
Though he felt this way, he would never go easy on his brother. It would be rude to his brother by not taking him on seriously by going easy on him. If Ponsol were to find out that he went easy on him, his pride would surely explode. That boy was an annoyance to deal with when enraged.
Shugarl truly respected his brother for the amount of work he put forth in order to catch up to him. One had to put in a considerable amount of work to catch up to his level. Much more, he balanced his studies with the duties their grandfather placed on him in attempt to groom him to become a well-suited heir.
“So? Why have you come to see me today? Send someone else into the hospital?” Shugarl asked, leaning back into his seat, staring at Ponsol with a bored expression on his face.
The platinum blond smiled and seemed to puff out his chest with pride. “I’m the same height as you now. Soon enough I’ll be taller than you.”
“Oh? You’re 188cm?” Shugarl honestly looked quite impressed at the moment. Last he checked, Ponsol was 180cm, so to have grown 8cm within the last couple of years was impressive. Though… looking at him now, it was suspect that he grew that much.
“Aren’t you 185cm? When the Hell did you grow another 3cm?”
So that’s what it was. As expected, he couldn’t have grown 8cm. Still, he grew a good 5cm, and that was quite impressive. A simple shrug of the shoulders. “I do not check my height daily to be able to tell you when. I got my height checked recently to learn that I’m now 188cm is all. You need to grow another 3cm to match my height. Good luck, Ponsol.” The man smirked at his flabbergasted younger brother.
How cute he was. So that’s why he was in such a good mood.
“Just you wait, I’ll grow to be taller than you one day! Mark my words!” Ponsol declared and stormed out the room cursing underneath his breath.
