Okay... Is it a generational thing that this song makes me cry?
When this came out, these two were THE most iconic in their own rights for singing talent.
I used to get emotional and cry when I heard it back when it came out because Whitney's voice is just a full experience. Now I do that, but also cry because she's gone.
I don't know if younger people in 2019 ever were able to appreciate Whitney for her raw talent instead of knowing her last few crazy years and how she died.
Mariah used to be more than just "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on repeat (though I still love it), and this was yet another song to listen to her and be amazed at her range.
