Powerlifting isn't about lifting a 1 Rep Max all the time. It isn't always about maximal loads on the bar. It's about so much more than that. It can teach us things we might not be able to learn otherwise, teaching us skills that can translate to real life experiences, helping us to develop as human beings. As well as the countless physical benefits, the mental benefits are in abundance. It's about pushing yourself past what you thought you were capable of, both physically and mentally. It's about mastering the technical aspects and constantly improving to make progress. It's about learning patience, resilience and how far you can really push your body. It's an environment where all of the competitors want to see you do well, they encourage you to succeed. How many sports can you claim such a statement? Powerlifting is like one big family, and that's exactly why I love it. You might not know somebody, but you have something in common, you have something you both understand and have learnt from. If you've ever thought you might like to try, I urge you to, because you will never look back. Peace, and love <3 #BORN #BORN365 #Powerlifting
