After the last few years and everything she’d been through with her sisters, the sight of blood wasn’t so frightening any more, though it was still disgusting. “’Ow about you clean it up now? Fe is bringing Kira over.”

ell was in tears , holding her hand that was  s t i l l   bleeding from having been cut open . she LOVED carmilla with all of her fragile , beating , human heart . she always would . that could never change . yet her heart was beating  f a s t e r  at that moment in time from the fear she felt . those fangs . that look on carmilla’s face . everything was rushing through ell’s soft mind attempting to take in the idea that this was all real . her dreams - or nightmares - had ALL been so very real .

       “Don’t, please.”

       The words fall from her chapped lips with such urgency she only hears them in the echo that follows. Then there’s a brief moment’s silence and all she can do is bunch her face up, holding onto the next words she knows she’s going to have to say.  Rage has been building up for days, weeks, months, maybe since all of this...vampire...business began.  It’s disappointing.  She thought they’d moved passed this. Apparently not. 

       ❝ Stop it. Just stop it. Carmilla, you can’t just kill or even threaten to kill every person or monster or...whatever...that tries to hurt Laura. It’s not even practical and besides, I don’t think Laura would want that, either. ❞

Much had changed since Danny decided that it was time to return home, a few things she expected, but Carmilla returning to the land of the living was definitely not one of them. She also never had “taking care of a broody, sick ex-vampire” on her list, but she had taken pity on her. So here she was, standing over her, trying and failing to hold back a sly smile and a snicker. Having to turn her back from the sulking, sick mess that was on the couch as she lost herself to another smirk and chortle. Composing herself, she handed the bowl of soup and medicine to her, eyes rolling. 

“You probably could have avoided a lot of this mess if you got vaccinated once you gained your mortality back. Succumbing to a disease as something as common as the flu is kind of pathetic, even for you.” She teased, taking a seat in the armchair nearby.

“ How would you like it if I bit you back? ” hueheuhue

“I bet you’d like that, wouldn’t you Fang-face?” Danny said, crossing her arms and a smirk playing on her lips. Though truth be told, she didn’t think she would mind that much either.

Danny stepped back and held her hands up in defense. She knew she shouldn’t have tempted fate in waking the sleeping vampire, but part of her still felt bad that the girl was suffering. Sure they didn’t get along, but Danny wasn’t heartless. Carmilla was still a person - er well sorta. She sat herself back in the chair. 

“Alright, Fangface, I’ll just let you suffer through it next time. It just sounded pretty nasty.” She said, looking at her laptop. “I’m sure its an offer you’ll turn down, but if you ever want to talk...I’m all ears. And I won’t tell Laura.”
