Scarlett had been majorly bummed when Elijah had told her he wasn’t going to the party, but he'd pressured her to pose for a picture of her in her Dorothy costume. He then kissed her forehead making sure that she promised to call him if anything happened before sending her off. Once there she'd gotten lost looking for the ballroom but stopped and ordered herself a piña colada at one of the bars she found whilst she strolled around. “Wow, this place is huge...” Scarlett said mostly to herself looking around for a familiar face who could help her out sipping on her drink sighing happily at how good it was.

The Historic Wilford Mansion has been sitting on a corner of 5th avenue and 70th street, untouched by both the public and the city for over sixty years. Lorenzo Wilford, the last relative of the original owner, Dr. Beauford Wilford, refused to sign it over to anyone else despite no one inhabiting in it for decades, not since the death of Mrs. Adelaide Wilford. The rumors of course, are that Mrs. Wilford still haunts the mansion today, which is why they boarded it up and never stepped foot in it since. But now that Lorenzo is getting older, he’s decided to finally go inside and open the Wilford Mansion up to the public for one special night.
On OCTOBER 31ST, the WILFORD MANSION will be open to the public for a Halloween Blowout party like you’ve never seen before, with it’s haunted history it’s already bound to be a frightful night, but add a proper haunted house experience, including a tour of the original Dr. Wilfords abandoned medical office in the lower levels. There will, of course be music in the ballroom, food and drinks circling as well as bars on each floor. Put on your best costume, grab a friend or a date, and come join in on the once in a lifetime Halloween event.
This event will begin on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH and end on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST. Please use the tags BOROUGHEVENT and BOROUGHALLOWEEN for starters and inspo posts for this event!

HELLO HELLO HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE JACKS PUMPKIN NIGHTS POP UP PUMPKIN FESTIVALS!
The ever popular JACKS PUMPKIN NIGHTS saw success in its opening year of 2018 that it decided to take their fesitval to the East Coast, with a little twist. Starting on September 5th, Every Thursday- Sunday of the Month of September Through October there will be a POP UP PUMPKIN FESTIVAL! Each festival will be in a different location every weekend, and all you need to do is sign up for the notifications on a nifty little app on your phone to find out where it’ll be that weekend! Each POP UP FESTIVAL features food like PUMPKIN PASTIES +more and drinks like MULLED WINE AND HOT APPLE CIDER from multiple different vendors, different kinds of live music each weekend. Fun and games for the family during the day, and an adults only party starting at 8 pm, which includes drinks, haunted corn mazes, haunted houses and late night Halloween themed shows. The last night is October 31st, starting at 10 am there will be fun activities for the kids, candy definitely included, until 9 pm when there’s an official Halloween blow out party.
THIS IS AN ONGOING EVENT LASTING FROM SEPTEMBER 5TH-OCTOBER 31ST, since the events are pop ups and on weekends, you can use Thursday-Sunday of every week to write for this event if you so choose, especially since your muse doesn’t have to go every weekend. You can of course, carry on threads from the event throughout the rest of the week. We do ask that you tag any event starters,or event related posts with BOROUGHEVENT and BOROUGHHALLOWEEN. Due to Eliza’s recent obsession with all things Tangled, it was very obvious what she wanted to dress up as for Halloween and so in turn what Blake had to dress up as for Halloween, and so he had become the Flynn Rider to her Rapunzel. After having gone trick or treating with her, his aunt had convinced him to go to the party - though the outfit doesn’t feel quite the same without his little Rapunzel by his side.
If it’d been up to Raleigh, she would’ve just dressed up as Pennywise or like Gargamel of the Smurfs, or just not gone out at all - but it wasn’t up to her and the other girls from work had decided on her outfit. It wasn’t particularly original, but hey - at least she has cool fake guns.
