When Boru and Leanna finally make it to their destination, they are met with a violent rejection from the portal back home. Leanna is thrown back out when Boru thought he would never see her again. Unconscious, fading, and injured, Boru cradles her with many questions but no answers. Why on earth would a portal made to transfer divine back to their realm reject the very goddess they needed home?

Hey ! Long time no see 🌻

At the end of January I decided to take part in the #PistachioFTIYS created by @pistachiozombie where I had to draw her two OCs that I'm particularly fond of: Leanna and Boru 💚

The drawing is based on a sketch by @pistachiozombie and I then interpreted my illustration on top of it.

I wanted to show Leanna considering starting a family with Boru when she sees a mummy bird with her babies. Boru inevitably notices her gaze and immediately understands what Leanna sees in it.

Boru kept his oath & protected the goddess, this time from his abusive kin, Brick, who willingly succumbed to the spreading curse. Boru snapped & was forced to make a final decision. It was an outcome he ever wanted, despite how evil Brick was.

It wouldn't take back the past that was ripped away from him, nor take back the scars he planted. But Brick was going to hurt the star that led him away from the pain. Leanna, unfamiliar with witnessing such emotional trauma, chose to hold the weight with him until he got wind under his wings again.

Boru is insecure around other dwarves, especially ones decorated with family clasps, braids, tattoos and hand-me-down axes that he severely lacks. Thankfully, the very goddess he wants to impress doesn't care much for the gold & prefers him the way he is. 🫶 close ups below~ reblogs appreciated!
