This is a screenshot of the current bushfires, today, in Western Australia. They are all active. The orange triangles are emergency and “watch and act” warnings.
This is a screenshot of the satellite image of Western Australia.
I don’t watch the news but from experience, if it didn’t happen in Melbourne or Sydney, it didn’t happen.
It’s October. The northern part of the country is supposed to be in the “build up”. It’s not unusual for bushfires to happen in Australia but it’s no longer predictable.
We are going into a stage where we need to be prepared at all times.

14 years today.
People across Japan are remembering tens of thousands of lives lost 14 years ago.
10 minutes ago, Japan held a minutes silence at 14:46.24 JST for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami .
There are still displaced persons in Japan, and people have died as a result of the disaster some years later.
The young people interviewed were teenagers when the earthquake/ tsunami hit…. They are now in their thirties. You can see how it affected them, at such a crucial stage of their lives.
Most people who died were elderly and most common cause of death was drowning. The tsunami wiped out the evacuation centres in the process.
Awful tragedy and I offer my silence and remembrance.
