Thinking about Bo visiting his mama in the chapel. All he wanted was to feel her stroke his hair, not a slap, or a yank of his wrist. The ghosts of the town all come to the surface every time a rainy or stormy evening rolls in. He’ll wake up, sweat soaked and heart pounding so loud in his ears that he jolts out of bed and desperately makes his way to the church. Sometimes the only solace he’ll find is laying on those pews. It’s the only time he’ll be able to sleep in church without his mama tugging on his ear and hissing at him to be respectful.
