Cut up a bit of the new steel to practice my panel/seam welds this morning. With expert tutelage from @lord_e_lord I've noticed an improvement again, cheers Lordy 😎👍 I'd like to get this as right as I can before I put the mig anywhere near the original panels on #thebomb coz they won't take much to fuck up, I fear 🧐 Btw the last one with all tacks is the "proper" way to avoid warping, I know. Well I've sparked up the new #migwelder and despite never having used one before I've managed to not burn the house down AND I got a nice #sunburn on my mostly bare feet 🤗 . . Been having a bit of trouble getting the wire feed to work consistently, and finally found the nicest arc on this 5mm mild steel at 160V (?) and at 15psi on the gas. I think. Regardless, it's a shit tonne easier than arc/stick and it even sounds like Finnegan and Tony on MotorTrend when I'm popping along 🤘😎🤘 . .
