Creating A Signature Cocktail, Classes at Kitchen, Inc!

We've had an exciting few months and we've finally had time to sit down and schedule some classes. Booze Époque be teaching three sessions of our 'Creating A Signature Cocktail' class at our delightful shared kitchen space, Kitchen, Inc at 201 Somerville Avenue in Union Square, Somerville on July 10, August 22, and September 26. Creating A Signature Cocktail

Join Booze Époque's boutique bartenders, as we guide you through the process of creating a beautiful signature cocktail. Over the course of three hours we’ll provide you with a brief history of the cocktail in America and beyond; and discuss the fundamentals of cocktail making, including tools and bartending methods. This will be followed by a tasting of premium spirits, mixers, fresh fruit, and herbs.

We’ll explore some of the more the unusual ingredients used in boutique bartending, and then open the class to experimentation and play.

Once you have created your cocktail we will have a tasting to sample all of the drinks. By the end of the evening you will have a delicious, unique concoction.

The Signature Cocktail Experience is perfect for anybody hoping to know more about craft bartending, and is also great for bachelor or bachelorette parties, birthdays, celebrations, or just an interesting night out.

The course will be held in our kitchen space in Somerville, MA.

Light snacks will be provided. Limited to a group of 16. Ages 21+ only.

Vintage Cocktail Menus from the Boston Area circa 1934

I inherited a scrapbook from a friend of my Nana when I was 4 or 5 years old.  It was lost to time until a couple of years ago when I rediscovered it.  It includes many menus, clippings, and photos of places, people, and events from roughly 1930-1940.  Many old menus, including the ones below were pasted onto the pages.  The scrapbook belonged to Robert M. Gerry, who I did not know.  These menus are from immediately post-prohibition 1933-1934.
