Pleased with how this artichoke globe (Cynara scolymus) turned out! It was originally a sketch in my sketchbook, and I added colour on my computer. 🎨
Anne Kingsbury Wollstonecraft, sister-in-law of Mary Wollstoncraft and aunt of author Mary Shelly, was a US botanist, naturalist, botanical illustrator & women's rights advocate. Her manuscript with artworks on plant specimens (1828) was rediscovered recently ♀️

Inktober day 28!
lil acorn study for day 3 of inktober !
I decided to put together some of my favourite botanical illustrations in one piece, in the style of botanical specimens pinned to a cork board. From left to right is milkmaids, yarrow, borage, and carrot flowers.
This is the first digital commission I did forever ago! For my lovely friend @sail-on-sailor who is permanently haunted by lemons. 🙂🍋
