Sometimes the best thing about Tumblr is that it feels like you're shouting into the void but it's intentional. If people don't react on any other platform, it's weird, but here it's just "eh, looks like the cryptids in the canyon aren't out tonight".
hm yeah, I know what you mean and often I’m totally content just blogging into the void and doing my thing but sometimes I just wanna know people actually care, you know? especially if I make things or offer to make things and people just don’t give a fuck? it’s kind of disheartening :(

I wonder if less people are using Tumblr. It seems more are using Twitter now. I have 20 times more followers here than on twitter but usually notice twitter being more active.
yeah that’s definitely true! my twitter (found here btw in case anyone is interested) is definitely more “interactive” -but I think it is so by nature? plus I mostly follow friends/mutuals and likewise so we just talk a lot more. it’s also a lot more personal / day to day stuff than tumblr? here it’s mostly fandom / aesthetic etc. stuff.

It's like communication here died 2 years ago and no one ever talks to anyone (unless they're a good artist or to send hate)... idk I see very few people just casually talk to each other like we used to here :/
yeah that’s also true, I guess - if you’re “tumblr famous” you still get messages as well as hate rip. honestly, the most interactive blogs and stuff I see these days are in the witchcraft community :D lots of questions and discussions... I should be more active there ;)
I miss the good old talkative times though :(
