What's an interest of yours that you wish more people shared so you could talk about it more often?

I love this question, but it's made me realize how all my special interests lately (outside of like, fandom stuff) are like, boring and practical haha. Like one of my main special interests lately is mental health and especially the scientific research into happiness and general wellbeing and the ways in which the modern world has led to such a huge increase in mental health problems. And when I do talk about it, I just end up sounding like a Luddite and/or killjoy, because so many of the ways things have gotten more convenient and attention-filling are also like...making us all worse lolol. And unfortunately a lot of people, especially my age and younger, don't really want to hear it, because we're so used to all this technology and we enjoy having less friction in our lives, but like, I swear I'm not trying to be a downer or preachy! It's just that as my own mental health has declined and my son has gone through his struggles, I've learned a lot, and what experts and scientists have to say about this stuff in genuinely interesting to me. Especially because, as much as capitalism and the way society is structured contributes to these problems, there is also a lot that individuals can do, so it's one of the few areas of life where I don't feel helpless and like I have to just give in to the suck of it all haha. Anyway, sorry for the somewhat lame answer, but thank you for doing this! It's such a great way to reach out and build relationships and community (which coincidentally is one of the things science says we need to do to improve our wellbeing haha)! Also are you going to answer the questions yourself too? Because I think you should!
