On October 27, 2025, Japanese singer-songwriter and virtual YouTuber Botchi Boromaru released the video for “Sakura Kaze,” which translates to “Cherry Blossom Wind.” The song is being used for the Fall 2025 anime, Gintama: Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class.

Speedran this one hoping a faster workflow will motivate me to work faster in general, I suppose time will tell if it actually helps. Since I got this one done so fast, though, I'm not sure if the quality is up to par with my last few sets (<- she says as if she's ever confident in her quality). Maybe once I have a more stable source of income I can hire a proofreader or just...invest in better Japanese lessons than Duolingo so that I can translate more from the source instead of relying on other translations. The phrase "tsuyogaru girl" repeated through the song roughly translates to "girls pretending to be tough"- while my translation, "grit-acting girls" doesn't quite match what I presume to be the intended "feeling", it felt like a decent compromise in my opinion to keep the meaning in tact while attempting to somewhat match the wordplay. (the "garu" in "tsuyogaru" is pronounced almost the same way as Japanese pronounce the English word "girl", "gaaru". "Grit" and "Girl" don't really sound THAT similar I'm aware, but it was the best I could think of.)
