Seeing some really good advice! But here is a tricky question - what do you do when you wish to remain private, but also share your art/characters? Obviously by sharing those, people will associate them with, well, you. I know, keep accounts separate and all, but I have a problem. My drawing style is unique enough so people might recognize it. I don't know how to make it look different enough. So if I would make a separate account, someone might recognize me due to my art. I don't want to deceive anyone, but at times I just don't want to deal with the people I deal with on my regular account, so I really just want to have an alter ego and be a completely different person. And then another problem, what if you make friends on that alter ego? Do you tell them it's just an alter ego, or do you basically live a lie? What if an older friend accidentally tries to befriend the alter ego? I understand the chances of these situations happening are almost 0, but I imagine these different scenarios in my head all the time. Online life is hard at times, man...
Use art accounts and connect those to one another, do not connect them to outside accounts, is what I do.
