Bottle Logic Strength Check West Coast Triple IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Lots of berry and tropical fruit on this in the nose, and you can tell this is big right away at 10%. Somewhat sweet on the palate until a moderate bitterness and just a faint booze presence fades in towards the finish.
Tonight we did a side-by-side tasting of two Black-charity-supporting Black Is Beautiful craft beers! One from The Bruery and one from Bottle Logic. The first has more roasted imperial stout notes; the second is like drinking a delicious liquid chocolate bar!
Pure Project + Bottle Logic Space Echos Hazy IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Lots of candy-like tropical fruit and citrus notes in this with a ton of complexity. Quite juicy on the palate as well, with stone fruit and more, with pineapple quite prominent. Finishes with some lingering fruitiness and just a touch of bitterness.
Bottle Logic + Slice Beer It's Actually Very Scientific Hazy Double IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. On par with some of the best in the style -- tons of berry notes and various tropical fruit in the nose with a similar juicy mix on the palate with a touch of pine/resin towards the finish, too. Well-balanced creamy body, and great sticky lacing.
Bottle Logic Explorando Mexican-Style Lager (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Smells of lime and salinity and the body delivers the light beer you'd expect. The body is more cloudy and tastes bigger than I expected somehow, but it's still quite refreshing.
Bottle Logic She Shot First Tropical Hazy IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Nice tropical fruit on the nose on this as well as some stone fruit and berry. The body's hazy and has a bit of softness but still remains quite light on the palate and has some nice bitterness towards the finish.
Bottle Logic Order of Combat IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A pretty classic West Coast IPA with a touch of tropical fruit and berry on top of citrus and resin. The body is on the lighter side of things with a nice firm bitterness in the finish.
Bottle Logic Serpentine West Coast IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Smells of orange citrus and some pine in the nose as well as a faint bit of tropical fruit. A bit old school West Coast IPA in profile, which is nice, and this finishes with a decent amount of body bitterness behind some malty sweetness.
