ꕥ Notes: Well, well, well :p A Blade fic :3 Enjoy reading this! Small spoiler: Reader sings it a bit. Also, rushed a bit at the end since my eyes were closing (sleepy and tired). Side story soon.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠❜𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝟐
Weeks, maybe even months had passed since you've been living with King Blade. Everything has been going lovely and you spent your time doing anything you've missed doing in the last 8 years. You went out shopping with Blade, got to roam around the garden, plant flowers, ride a horse, read, sit under the cherry blossom trees that were in the yard, make flower crowns, give one or two gifts to Blade which he happily accepted. Gave him a flower crown that matched him and a vase of flowers.
Blade wasn't the type to like flowers at all, but.. When you came along, he started liking everything. His cold demeanor changed to a more happy and calm one, his behaviour changed to a more kinder one, he started liking flowers, going out more often (especially with you), etc. Whatever he used to do changed. You had changed him.
He finally asked you out after like 9 weeks of you staying at the palace. Didn't reject his confession because you fell in love with him too. Only the guards of the palace knew the two of you dated, no one else.
ㅤ/ᐠ - ˕ -マ
You were out by the yard playing with the children that came to the Palace every now and then to meet you. Teaching them how to make flower crowns, telling them stories, reading them books. Children loved you and when I mean they love you- I mean it! They LOVE you! So much that Blade started imagining you as a father to his childr- what? Hold on, too fast sir Blade. Having his children by blood wasn't possible but a dreamer could dream.
(plus, there's my writer magic that can come in handy ;p)
"Sir (Y/n)! Can you sing us another song?" One of the children says.
"Yeah!! You sing so good, sir (Y/n)!" Another child says.
Chuckling upon their begging of you to sing. "Well, one last song before you all go, okay?" You stated. All of the children got happy and ran around. Taking your hand, getting you to stand up again. Giggling upon their action as you stand up. One of the children gave you a guitar as you took it in your hands. Putting the band around your neck as you got ready. Clearing your throat as you got ready to sing while playing the guitar. "There will come a soldier, who carries a mighty sword-"
"He will tear your city down, oh lei oh lai oh Lord."
The children started singing along for a bit, "Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord, he will tear your city down, oh lei oh lai oh Lord" before getting quiet as you continued solo, "There will come a poet whose weapon is his word-"
"-he will slay you with His tongue, oh lei oh lai oh Lord"
The children joining you again while they danced around, putting flower crowns on each other. Looking at each other with smiles and giggles, "Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord,he will slay you with His tongue, oh lei oh lai oh Lord"
Playing guitar solo for a bit as Blade came.. Kinda in a perfect timing? Opening your mouth to sing again. "There will come a ruler Whose brow is laid in thorn-"
"-Smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei oh lai oh Lord."
Upon noticing at Blade who was right behind you, leaning on the tree, smiling. Looking at you how you were singing and playing the guitar. Admiring you, completely in daze. Deciding to join as well with the children, "Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord, smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei oh lai oh Lord""Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord, he will tear your city down, oh lei oh lai..."
"Oh!"
Turning around to face Blade as you smiled beautifully, making him smile at you with warmth as he got closer to you. Wrapping his arms around your hips and keeping them there as you keep on playing the guitar, solo. Getting embarrassed as your face flushed, crimson red. How cute. Hum, Blade didn't care if your relationship with him got exposed now, the both of you were already deeply in love and decided to make it public for the children to know with simple affection displaying in front of them right now. Making the rumors about the two of your real. The rumor being about the two of you dating. Many children gasped and giggled with the rumors being true. The children singing together as you played while being affectionate with Blade.
"Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh!"
"Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh!"
"Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai-"
Blade and you singing the last sentence together in unison,
"Oh lei, oh lai, oh"
Playing the last melody as you finished. The children still playing and dancing around with each other as you and Blade enjoyed each other's company and the giggles from the children. Looking at the children before looking at each other, smiling lovingly at each other. Giving him a kiss on his cheek as he gave you one on the tip of your nose.
The evening felt long and warming. Love was in the air along with giggles and laughter. Haven't felt that feeling in a long time, huh?
Keeping his arms around your hips and resting his chin on your shoulder. Slowly removing the guitar from your embrace and putting it down on the ground, putting your arms on his. Smiling at your action as he gives your neck a soft kiss. That made you let out a giggle, smiling from ear to ear as he heard your giggles.
Minutes pass as parents start to gather at the yard, looking at how their children were playing with each other, giggling, chatting, dancing, singing. Then.. The parents noticed the two of you, Blade and you. Gasping at the sight and whispering to each other before smiling at each other and being proud by their King. Finally, he had found someone who knew how to change that frown into a big smile and putting his soul to peace.
Noticing the parents, remembering what time it was as you clapped your hands, children immediately stopping what they were doing and standing in a line. Smiling at how they had learned what you had taught them, "Remember children, whenever I clap, you guys have to get into line. It means you all have to go home." You had said this to them before. Used to be chaos before you came, now they were all listening and behaving properly.
"Time to go home, lovely children. I wish you all a good evening and to have a great night. Listen to your parents to what they say." You say to them in a calm tone.
"Yes, sir Y/n! Have a good evening/night to you too!!" They all replied in unison. Before they ran to their parents in speed. "Good night, your highness!!" A few children and parents shouted to Blade as he waved towards them with a smile. "Good night, sir (Y/n)!!"
One of the children were talking to her parents, "Mom?"
"Yes sweetie?" The mother replied.
"Is sir (Y/n) an angel?" The child ask.
"Oh, my dear.." The mother crouched down to the height of her child. "Well, why don't you go ask? It's better for you to ask the angel himself.." She continued.
The child smiled and nodded to her mother's statement. Whispering something to her mother as her mother nodded. The child ran over to you and Blade who were still in the same position. "Yes?" You ask.
"Sir (Y/n).. Are you an angel?" The child ask, sparkle in her eyes as she waited with excitement.
Surprised to hear that but it just made you smile. Never in your life have you heard that. Smiling with warmth at the child. "Hum, how about you and I keep this between us.." You whisper at the child as your fox ears and tail appeared. Swaying softly back and forth before your tail wrapped around Blade's leg as he smiled upon that. Your eyes changed to a yellow, golden-like colour. "I know my ears and tail aren't angel-like but I feel honoured that you think I'm one. I guess, I was sent here to make you and the others happy." You stated as the child froze in shock but immediately squealed out of happiness. The child running to her mother and shouting, "Mother, mother!! Sir (Y/n) is really an angel!! Look!!" She shouted and pointed over towards you. You were smiling as your ears were up and your tail still around Blade. Eyes shining brighter from its light. The mother in shock before smiling, realizing that you were a demi human. The last albino fox species as well. All of them had gone extinct from the war back in the 1900's. "Well, my dear, (Y/n) is truly.. An Angel sent to us." She said before giving a bow to the both of you and left with her child.
Having to hide how you truly look just because of what others would think and some stupid rumors about demi humans which you happen to forgot, tee-hee! Now you were free, free to be how you like. If one knew, then everyone will know sooner or later. It didn't mind you anymore. Your eyes met Blade's as he picked you up in a bridal style, leading you back inside the palace as it started to get dark. Squealing out of surprise before laughing as he laughed with you.
"It's time to go inside now, my love." Blade says in a calm tone.
"Well, it is time, yes." You reply in the same calm tone as you rest you head on his chest.
"Sleepy, my love?"
"Well, of course.. Being happy all the time can be draining sometimes." You reply.
"That is true, but I do know you have a soft heart and you don't look at that in a negative way." Blade stated. Which was true, you were never afraid to show your true emotions to other, especially towards children. Since you lost yours, you had to give everything to these children that loved you, give them what you didn't get.
"That is true, yeah. But I know you have a more softer heart towards me, darling." You reply with a smile as your eyes flutter slowly but surely. Blade noticed at how your eyes were fluttering close. Chuckling to himself, "I won't deny it, my love. Now, may you rest and sleep well." He said.
Hah.. May the two of you rest in peace and live happily with no one there to disturb. Even at negativity, may you be there for each other and lighten each other's pass with positivity..
