Mrs. Fishy has already feasted on many pathetic pokemon. But her hunger knows no bounds and she will continue to consume this world.

Incidentally, caught a Mareep! Now to train him. And Surf to that island for medicine. And kill that fighting gym leader. And help Jasmine help Ampy. And kill Jasmine. And kill Bryce. And catch or kill Red Gyarados (because shiny). And kill the world! Wahahahahaa!

So has the news made it easier for Firam to feed on negativity? with everything that went on in major riots across the united states and other areas i image he can shadow travel to areas of great conflict and feed much easier. Also, once he's"Full" Per say does he attempt to help when he sees little ones being drawn into danger?

The news has not had that much of an impact on his life beyond simply just informing him of what is going on in the land of mortals. He is usually one to never really go and seek out trouble. In fact, sometimes he just prefers to let himself starve for some sort of morbid penance. 

When it comes to little one’s in the midst of chaos, and this may seem kinda cruel, but he does not help them. Earth quakes, wars, .etc., the are occurrences that happen often with human’s. Even if he were to save some, what would he do after wards? Keep them? Put them in an orphanage where they will rot with the memories of some nightmarish creature saving them?

Chaos is not biased in its decision as to who lives and who dies; it is nature. Children are not exception to the rule.

And he is never, ever satisfied.
