Hopped Up | Akira | Execution Reaction+....A Surprise?
What Boufana had said soared over Akira’s head- he knew what was coming up. It didn’t seem like they’d be switching back so… So he’d have to... He swallowed hard, keeping his gaze down. He won’t watch, that’s all. He just didn’t have to watch… It’ll be okay.
Then it started- the voice he heard wasn’t his mother’s so he risked looking up- feeling slight relief- how he hated that he did- at the fact it was AIZA’s actual body, and not his mother’s. He watched on, a frown tugging at his lips at the events going on- he knew how it felt to be out of breath… That had to hu-
His thoughts cut out when she came on screen. He jumped up from his seat, both hands slamming on the table. He wanted to yell- but nothing came out. The fear on her face hurt him more than anything he knew before. Then… Then...
When did he start crying? He didn’t know. All he knew was that she was gone. The tears started falling freely for the first time since he was in this body and he sat back down and hunched over, his arms resting on the table in front of him, his head following after resting on it as well. He didn’t notice anything around him- not even Yumemi’s hug.
Akira’s body still shook with silent sobs. All he could think about was the fact that she was gone. She was gone and there’s nothing he could do to save her. What kind of son am I? There could’ve been something I could have done...Useless boy. UselessUselessUse-
“Well, well, if it isn’t the man of the hour over here, wallowing away like a scared little bunny rabbit!”
Well, that got his attention. His head spun towards the voice, his sadness replaced by confusion- Why? What did she want? - at least for a moment before it hardens to a more hated look at the last comment.
“I would call you a momma’s boy, but that doesn’t really make much sense--seeing as you don’t got one anymore, lol!”
What did she just say? Akira’s hands clenched tighter, his expression deepening even more- practically sending a murderous look to the blonde. He managed to look away however, his arms shaking slightly- though this time not from his crying. Shut up. Shut up. He knew she was just trying to provoke him- but he couldn’t help it.
“I warned you once, and I’ll warn you again Hisakawa--you should respect me. Otherwise, the strings of fate might just pull on those just as close to you as your mother was.”
Boufana’s words- against Akira’s will- had affected him more than he wanted. The building frustration of not being able to help his mother coupled with Boufana’s taunting pushed him over his limit. His hands slammed down on the table- hard enough it shook, almost instantly after, he stood up suddenly- the chair he was sitting in being knocked down behind him in the process- he was practically seething now. At least he’s more intimidating in this appearance than his normal one.
Shut up. Shut up. SHUT. UP. He took one step towards her and pulled an arm back in a single motion before yelling in frustration- aiming his fist towards Boufana’s face, putting all his anger into it.
And--to everybody in the room’s surprise--it lands. And not just that, it hurts. Boufana is flung from one end of the room right into the wall, cracks forming around the point of impact.
In that moment, the absolute silence of it, even Boufana felt the shock of it. Like an old sticker, she’s peeled from the wall by gravity, collapsing on the ground.
Man. That felt good. Akira couldn’t help but think that as he breathed heavily staring at the limp body of Boufana. All his rage started to flow out as he returned to a neutral standing position, he continued to look at her, the realization slowly coming to him of what might happen to him- he didn’t care.
He swallowed the lump he didn’t realize he had in his throat and turned towards the others, a small smile coming to his face as he spotted Sora.
“I…. I d-didn’t think… i-it would work…” He glanced down to his hands. “I… I d-did it…!”
