like it hurts to know he probably believes i'm just lazy

and every time this happens, i feel unsafe with him, as though being fundamentally unseen and mischaracterized puts me in danger. bc it can and has.

i used to disbelieve myself, and abused myself in the process, chasing goals i believed i had to perform in order to earn the space i took up. but that's neither necessary, nor right to do. and i didn't and don't deserve it.

and i honestly refuse to re-perform that self-torture just to illustrate the truth to someone who says they love me but can't just believe me when i share my lived experience. i shouldn't have to retraumatize myself in order to be given the grace i already deserve.

Charitystore 70s Shirt Paisley: I’m glad I know I don’t necessarily absolutely have to like/reblog something to ‘prove’ my beliefs or views or caringness or to raise awareness about something. Blogs or social media accounts can be for a certain niche purpose and a person has a right to choose what they want to express at any given time or where and how to. If you’re someone who says you are disgusted by how many may not like or reblog something: while you are free to feel and say such and it’s cool, just a thought, people may have a different way of supporting a cause, which is just not that particular way, or another blog with that stuff and they like to use specific blogs for quite specific purposes, or maybe there’s simply a dislike for the way something has been packaged in a certain instance, or there’s a different message or post or format the person prefers? Maybe a person has zero or few followers and they are only using an account/ likes/ reblogs as a form of personal web bookmarker? Or many other possibilities…. It’s ok for an individual to choose how/whether/when/where to express things or repeat things brah, if they don’t reblog things there can be all kinds of reasons and it’s ok to have ‘em and to choose which ways/which places that we want to do which positive/good things etc - doesn’t equate to not caring about something important or good, etc. But power to those who are happy to do every single one on every single social media account they have every single time, if they want to.
